Thanks for your visit to the "Gentleman" Chris Adams Pro Wrestling Memorial Site!! On a personal note, Chris Adams was my all-time favorite singles wrestler, and he brought lots of excitement and entertainment in the squared circle to many people throughout the world. His influence on the business is felt through the many students he taught with his USWA Wrestling School, most notably "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, and by virtue of the fact that his signature move, The Superkick, has been copied by many popular wrestlers today. While his death was indeed untimely, it is his life that I developed this site to celebrate, for his family, friends, and many fans worldwide. It is to his life and his accomplishments that this site is dedicated to.

With all due respects to wrestling fans everywhere, and mind you, this is merely a personal opinion, it's been widely recognized that in the heyday of WCW, when the WWF was losing ground in the ratings war, losing ground in keeping their wrestlers, writers and other talent, and losing ground financially, there were a handful of wrestlers that helped keep WWF and Vince McMahon afloat. The MAIN wrestler among them was "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Let's face it: Steve Austin vs. Vince McMahon in ANY kind of match kept the WWE going for years; it was what made the "WWF Attitude" era, it was the foundation of their very existence, until WCW folded, then they were able to expand their talent base, because Vince McMahon had won, there was no more competition.

Now follow my logic for a moment: No "Gentleman" Chris Adams, no "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. No "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, no main events at house shows, PPVs. No main events at house shows, PPVs, THE WWF GOES UNDER, Ted Turner gains control and the course of professional wrestling as we know it is changed forever. I'm sure the powers that be will dismiss it as double-talk from a Chris Adams fan, but think to yourself: WHAT IF Chris Adams NEVER OPENED his Wrestling School? WHAT IF, Chris Adams NEVER EVEN MET "Stone Cold" Steve Austin? Even if Austin DID make it somehow to the WWF, do you think a character such as his would have prevailed to the point to SAVE the WWF? Just something for you to imagine........

So whether or not you believe in fate, destiny, or any combination of the two, Vince McMahon, the ENTIRE WWE, and pro wrestling fans the world over owe a HUGE debt of gratitude to the late, great "Gentleman" Chris Adams. Wrestle on, wrestling fans.

At any rate, Chris Adams leaves behind a loving family, caring friends and children, especially a daughter, Julia, who was 7 years old when Chris passed. Unfortunately, Julia's mother, Brandi, passed a few months later. A benefit show was held some time ago to set up a trust for Julia Adams. For information on how to reach any member of Chris Adams' family, or for information on the Julia Adams Childrens' Trust, or to offer suggestions as to how we can help make this site better, please email one of us at the email addresses above!
