Ongoing: The Rock Returns to Raw and Cuts a Babyface Promo

On tonight's Raw, The Rock as announced returned to Raw for its Netflix debut. I thought we'd see an arrogant heel promo from him to continue his heel persona as "The Final Boss." The last time we saw The Rock, he was a clear cut heel. He was feuding with the biggest babyface in wrestling in Cody Rhodes and was teaming with the biggest heel in wrestling at the time (sorry MJF) Roman Reigns.  FINALLY... 🎤 #RawOnNetflix pic.twitter.com/OuwTKNl1a5 — WWE (@WWE) January 7, 2025 On tonight's Raw though, The Rock was boosting up Cody Rhodes and gave him some major props for carrying the company over the past year. He also propped up the now babyface Roman Reigns. The crowd was loving The Rock and he wasn't giving them any reason to hate him. He made a joke about being censored to the Co-CEO's of Netflix and the live crowd at the Intuit dome was eating it up.  THE ROCK and CODY RHODES meet again! 👀 #RawOnNetflix pic.twitter.com/fzv325iQU0 — WWE (@WWE...

CM Punk Gives Injury Update to Crowd

After Raw last night, Mr. Cult of Personality himself, CM Punk showed up to cut a promo in front of the live crowd. Raw was in Anaheim, California and the injured CM Punk wanted to give the fans an update on his status.  “It is not easy sitting backstage, watching the show, knowing that Anaheim showed up 11,000-strong, and y’all kept it hot all night long. Three hours, countless superstars, awesome matches. I had to come out here and feel this myself, and to let you all know, this is a bump in the road. I promise you that next time we are in Anaheim, I will be here, and I will have my boots on,” Punk said to the capacity crowd at the Honda Center.  It’s reassuring to know that despite the triceps injury that he suffered, he’ll be back in due time. As much as Cody Rhodes wants to finish his story, CM Punk wants to finish his.  It’s cool that Punk cut a promo in front of the live crowd but I’d love to see him on Raw or Smackdown every week. Even in an announce...

Are You On CM Punk’s Side or Jack Perry’s?

CM Punk is no stranger to speaking his mind, we’ve known that for years. According to a report from Fightful Select, CM Punk and Jack Perry were involved in a backstage exchange over the latter wanting to use real glass on the show. According to Fightful, “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry wanted to use actual glass for a segment on Collision. According to Dave Meltzer, Perry wanted to use the real glass for a car crash angle. Punk reportedly said they don’t stuff like that on Collision and to do it on Dynamite instead.  You may famously remember Goldberg cutting his forearm open after smashing through a limousine window on WCW Thunder back in the day. It sounds like CM Punk didn’t want a repeat of that, at least on his show.  I understand Jack Perry wanting to do something cool and interesting but in my opinion, glass isn’t the way to do it. Now saying that, I don’t think Punk’s reported response of just straight up shooting it down and telling him to kick rocks was the best way to hand...

Solo Sikoa Suffers Rare Loss to Cody Rhodes at WWE Live Event

Solo Sikoa suffered a rare loss at live event over the weekend. At the live event in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Saturday, he took a loss to Cody Rhodes. WWE is doing their best to protect Solo but it’s good to see that he isn’t being booked to be completely invincible. In addition to the loss over the weekend, he previously lost to Cody on the Raw before Wrestlemania. It seems like Cody Rhodes is the only one who’s going to be beating Solo Sikoa for now. Which is how it should be.  What do you think about WWE’s infatuation with the young Samoan? They seem to be all-in on him, despite the recent losses. He’s being booked as a tough-as-nails street fighter that Roman Reigns trusts the most right now. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Solo Sikoa moving forward. Let me know your thoughts here or on Twitter .

WWE Raw Preview - April 24th, 2023

Tonight’s WWE Raw is taking place from Chicago, Illinois. While only one match has been officially announced for tonight's show, there are sure to be plenty of surprises and twists in store for fans of the wrestling world. The match that has been confirmed for tonight is a clash between two high-flying superstars, as Rey Mysterio takes on Damian Priest. Mysterio and the Latino World Order are in the midst of a big feud with The Judgement Day. It’s expected that their feud will come to a head at Backlash. In addition to the Mysterio-Priest match, fans can also look forward to an appearance by none other than Bad Bunny. Tonight, he'll be appearing ahead of WWE Backlash, which he'll be hosting in his home country of Puerto Rico. It's unclear exactly what Bad Bunny has in store for fans tonight, but given his recent track record, it's sure to be something unforgettable. Whether he's performing a new song, cutting a promo, or getting involved in some in-ring act...

Matt Riddle and Sami Zayn Made It Just In Time for Raw Main Event

On the last episode of Monday Night Raw, a series of unexpected events occurred that shook up the entire show. Due to travel issues, a number of wrestlers were unable to make it to the building, which led to significant changes in the planned lineup. However, two wrestlers managed to make it just in time to participate in the main event – Matt Riddle and Sami Zayn. Alvarez: “The show tonight had a lot of changes, and these were not changes that were Vince McMahon just decided he didn’t like something, Travel issues, major travel issues that resulted in a large number of wrestlers not making it to the building, making it to the building very late in the evening. I think Matt Riddle and Sami Zayn got there in the middle of the third hour to do the run-in for the main event. So a lot of things went down, but they managed to largely do the same show. Obviously, they didn’t do the Matt Riddle/Miz match.” It's worth noting that the show had already undergone significant changes due to ...

Logan Paul Officially Signs Contract Extension With WWE

Logan Paul announced today on Twitter that he signed an extension with WWE. Following his match with Seth Rollins at Wrestlemania, Paul's contract expired. WWE was quick to re-sign Paul with Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reporting that the belief is that he would resign. Official confirmation came today. What do you think about Logan's run in WWE so far? The guy has been crushing it. He's far exceeded my expectations and knows how to play to the audience than most full-time professional wrestlers his age. I see him mixing it up with John Cena at some point before going after a Championship in WWE. I think it's inevitable that Logan Paul becomes Champion in WWE. World Champion? Maybe not. I could totally see him and his brother Jake getting a run with the Tag Team Titles though. Jake isn't in WWE but fans have speculated that he'd sign after Logan's success. Hit me up on Twitter for more. I appreciate the support!

Raw Preview - What Will Cody Rhodes Say About WWE Future?

Following last week’s disappointing Monday Night Raw, WWE has a chance for redemption. We’re getting a Title match and seeing Matt Riddle in action for the first time in months. Hopefully they’ll do something to win the fans back over because the consensus is that last week’s Raw sucked.   One of the biggest matches of the night will be WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Lita and Becky Lynch defending their titles against #1 Contenders Raquel Rodriquez and Liv Morgan. Could this be it for Lita’s return run?  Matt Riddle will be taking on The Miz after his triumphant comeback last week on Raw. Riddle returned after “out of the ring” issues last week. He’s looking to pick up the momentum he had when he left. The segment promises to be an explosive one, as both superstars have a score to settle. Will Riddle set his sights on Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline? In addition, fans can expect to hear from Cody Rhodes about his WWE future, which has been the subject of much speculation followin...

Matt Riddle Is Back and He Has a Match Next Week on Raw

Matt Riddle made his long-awaited return to WWE on last night's episode of Raw. Riddle, who had been absent from WWE programming for several weeks, recently completed a stint in rehab for undisclosed reasons. Fans were thrilled to see him back in action, and the WWE wasted no time in announcing his first match back . Riddle will face off against The Miz next week on Raw, and the excitement is already building. The Miz is a seasoned veteran and former WWE Champion, so it will be a tough test for Riddle in his return match. However, Riddle is known for his high-flying, hard-hitting style, and fans are confident that he will put on an impressive performance. The Miz and Riddle work well together and it'll be a solid match for Riddle to get back in the ring. It's great to see Riddle back in the ring, and even better to know that he's taking steps to take care of himself. It takes a lot of courage to admit that you need help and to take the necessary steps to get it. Riddle...

Was This The Worst Raw After Wrestlemania Ever?

The Raw after Wrestlemania has always been a highly anticipated event in the wrestling world. It's the night where we usually see the debuts of new wrestlers, shocking returns, and exciting storylines. However, this year's Raw after Wrestlemania left many fans disappointed, with some even going so far as to say it was the worst night after Wrestlemania Raw ever. One of the main reasons for fans' disappointment was the main event, where Brock Lesnar beat up Cody Rhodes instead of teaming up with him. Many fans were looking forward to seeing Lesnar and Rhodes work together, but instead, Lesnar turned on Rhodes and left him lying in the ring. This left fans wondering what the future holds for Rhodes and whether he will seek revenge against Lesnar. Another match that left fans disappointed was the Street Profits losing to Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in an entertaining match. While the match was exciting to watch, fans were hoping to see the Street Profits come out on top and esta...

Goldberg Reportedly Still a Free Agent

It's been the talk of the wrestling world for the past several months : will Goldberg be signing a new contract with WWE? According to sources close to the situation, the answer seems to be no. According to Fightful Select, a website that covers wrestling news and rumors, they have not heard anything about Goldberg signing a new deal with WWE. This news will likely come as a surprise to many fans, as Goldberg has been a mainstay in WWE for the past several years. So what does this mean for the future of Goldberg in WWE? It's hard to say at this point, as negotiations between wrestlers and the company are often kept private. However, it's possible that Goldberg may be looking to explore other opportunities outside of WWE. The last time we saw Goldberg wrestle was in Saudi Arabia against Roman Reigns earlier in the year. The former undefeated WCW star made his return to WWE in late 2016 and has been a welcome addition to the roster. Say what you want about Bill Goldberg, h...
