AEW Dynamite last night featured that a tremendous match between FTR and Swerve in our Glory. The four wrestlers had an awesome showing and it ended with Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland getting the win.   They’ll be taking on The Acclaimed at Full Gear for the World Tag Team Championships.  Their match was so good that I decided to post a live reaction, which you can catch here: Check out the Twitter for my quick thoughts on wrestling. A video package showing The Elite was on AEW Dynamite tonight. It looks like they’ll be back in AEW sooner, than later. Fightful earlier reported they’ll be back and it looks like it’s happening! I just finished typing up a blog about AEW’s misuse of Ricky Starks. I hopped on Twitter and saw that Lana, the wife of AEW star, Miro talked about his run in AEW. Another misused wrestler. She was on Busted Open and said that Tony Khan, just like Vince McMahon and Triple H has his favourites.  Is this to imply that Miro isn’t one of his favourites? Probably and to anyone watching the show, it seems that way. Miro came in as a big, popular guy that people really wanted to succeed and they pair him with Kip Sabian.  Brutal! He would go onto hold the TNT Championship for 140 days but hasn’t really done anything since dropping the Title to Sammy Guevara. I’m going to take another shot at Sammy Guevara today. I don’t get it. How is this guy on TV every week and wrestling Bryan Danielson tonight but Miro’s just kind of hanging out?  Miro is in the top 90 percentile of wrestlers on that roster in my opinion. He should be booked as a legit main event star. AEW doesn’t have a ton of guys that

Why isn’t AEW pushing Ricky Starks to the moon? I’m a big fan of this guy! I think his presentation is great, he’s awesome on the mic and can go in the ring.  Take him off Rampage commentary and have him wrestle in the main event. I love the video packages that he does before his entrances. It makes him really stand out and it bugs me that AEW isn’t using that.  When I see him, I see a guy kinda like LA Knight/Shaun Ricker. You can see all this charisma that’s bubbling through them yet their place on the card doesn’t reflect that.  It blows my mind that wrestlers like Orange Cassidy and Sammy Guevara continue to be on TV, while Ricky Starks is riding the pine.  Cody Rhodes saw what everyone else sees in him. Where is Cody Rhodes now? WWE. What is WWE’s MO right now? Crush AEW. If Ricky Starks goes to WWE, it could end up being like when Chris Jericho came over from WCW in 1999.  Am I overhyping Ricky Starks? Let me know if you agree or disagree with me. WWE announced that Elimination Chamber will be happening in Montreal, Quebec, Canada this coming February. It’s the first time in 14 years that a WWE PPV/PLE is running in Montreal.  Montreal of course is where the Montreal Screwjob took place. It’s also the hometown of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. I think it would be a perfect place to take one of the World Titles off of Roman Reigns and put it one of these guys.  Today, I’ll be talking about the potential of Sami Zayn winning the World Title in Montreal. I’ll be doing another blog, tomorrow about Kevin Owens winning it instead.  Imagine the pop of Sami Zayn winning the World Title in Montreal. In front of his home audience with maybe a dirty finish that the crowd will eat up. I know everyone loves when they recreate the Screwjob, BUT it could play in a different way.  This is strictly fantasy booking and I’m trying to come up with blog ideas that aren’t just news dumps so here’s inside my brain. Ava Raine made her NXT debut last night as part of the Schism. She was the reveal under the yellow mask. Ava Raine is a 4th generation wrestler.  She of course is the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer, The Rock! She signed with WWE in 2020 and has been training at the WWE Performance Center full-time ever since. Her grandfather, Rocky Johnson and great grandfather, High Chief, Peter Maivia are wrestling legends just like her dad.  Everyone has to start somewhere and it looks like she’s starting with Joe Gacy’s group. I’m very curious to see how she progresses and becomes an actual wrestler.    You can be sure that Triple H has huge plans for his former rival’s, daughter.  Let me know what you thought of her debut. I think she ends up doing big things in the company in the future and could be a future fade of WWE, like her dad was. Bray Wyatt is facing some criticism from wrestling legend, Dutch Mantell aka Zeb Colter. Mantel said that Bray Wyatt can’t get “heat” when wrestling. Dutch was on his podcast talking about the recently returned, Bray Wyatt. You can arch his thoughts here.  He said other than Wyatt’s astronomical merch sales, he doesn’t get Bray Wyatt. Dave Meltzer is reporting that AEW is in talks to buyout CM Punk’s contract. He said that people close to the situation have said they’re looking to buy out his contract. The issue reportedly has to due with his non-compete clause.  Which Meltzer is speculating could be a sign they’re worried CM Punk will go to WWE. This could be Tony being extra cautious or maybe CM Punk could be on his way back to WWE.  I’ll have my thoughts on video today about him going back to WWE potentially. I’d love to see it but I don’t know if it’ll happen. I have another interesting idea that I’ll be talking as well.  Let me know if you think we’ll see CM Punk in AEW again or if this is it?   Bret Hart recently at a signing at K&S Wrestlefest made some pretty fiery comments. He took aim at his usual target of Goldberg and fired off some takes. One of the biggest making the rounds is him once again saying that Bill Goldberg shouldn’t be in the WWE Hall of Fame. Baron Corbin is back on WWE Raw. He was acquired in a trade with Smackdown. Raw sent Rey Mysterio and in return, gets Corbin. Corbin didn’t show up along either. He was introduced by none other than John Bradshaw Layfield.  It looks like JBL will be managing Corbin moving forward and I don’t want hate it. What I do hate? Baron’s new ring gear. I hope this doesn’t stick around for his sake. God, it looks dumb. I think vests are stupid. He looks like Dominik Mysterio and Austin Theory.  JBL is a good manager choice. I’m not a big Corbin fan and I’d be going in a much different direction but I’m looking forward to this. I thought the best stuff he was doing was when he was broken down, broke Baron Corbin. That didn’t last long and then he got into a mediocre storyline with Madcap Moss. JBL at least adds intrigue to him, because he’s a Hall of Famer and can get a crowd to react on a dime.  Thoughts on Video: Renewed effort coming. Let’s go full bore with this. Last night’s NXT went head to head with AEW Dynamite. We saw reports all day that WWE wanted to get the win over AEW on their own night. It’ll be interesting to see what the ratings are like because I think both shows delivered.  I had both shows on last night and both came out swinging. I thought the main event segment hosted by Kevin Owens, with Bron Breakker, Ilja Dragunov and JD McDonough delivered. Dynamite ran on an off-night last night, head to head with NXT. They had a show with some great wrestling but has a scary finish. Hangman Adam Page took a rough looking lariat and the ref was ending due to ref stoppage.  AEW posted an update on the health of Page, saying that he was released from the hospital with a concussion. We’re sending all the love and supporting to Adam Page and his family. Will Austin Theory cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase on the NXT Championship? Last night on NXT, Mr. Money in the Bank came out with his briefcase after the main event symposium/beat down.  This leads to fan speculation that he could be cashing in on whoever leaves Halloween Havoc as NXT Champion. It kind of pisses me off that I didn’t do a video on him cashing in yesterday. I thought about it earlier in the day! It makes sense because they’re trying to get main roster wrestlers there.  Going to be honest here, I’m not a fan of it. I don’t think it devalues the Money in the Bank briefcase, I mean Otis won that at one point. I think it devalues Austin Theory. Theory was billed as the “Next John Cena” at one point and having him win the NXT Title feels like a massive step back.  People will point to Charlotte winning the Royal Rumble then challenging Rhea Ripley not devaluing the Rumble. Would you like to see Shinsuke Nakamura back in WWE NXT full time? He came back last night and got a win over WWE rookie, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo. It looks like Hangman Adam Page was legitimately injured in the main event of AEW Dynamite. During his match with Jon Moxley, Page took a lariat and landed badly. The match ended due to ref stoppage and Jon Moxley was ruled the winner.  From there, we saw an awkward and awful turn of events. Once it appeared that the injury was legitimate, AEW sent out a stretcher for the former World Champion. They had to loosen up the bottom rope and Hangman was taken out.  It was a scary situation and Jon Moxley hopped on the mic after to say he’s praying for Adam Page. Unfortunately it sounds like the injury is legit. We can all hope and pray for Hangman Adam Page and his family. Could we see Dynamite get a big lead-in from the Yankees/Guardians game? AEW Dynamite goes head to head with WWE NXT tonight. It’s an off night for Dynamite as they forced to move because of a scheduling conflict with MLB. Playoff baseball is in full swing right now and TBS is one of the biggest broadcasters of MLB games. Yesterday’s Guardians/Yankees game was delayed because of rain and will be airing at 4:07 PM. Dynamite starts at 8 PM and also airs on TBS. Both the Yankees and Guardians face elimination tonight and you can be sure that it’ll do a massive rating. Provided Dynamite doesn’t get delayed too much, we could see that big baseball rating carry over into the Dynamite one.  Through either fans deciding to give Dynamite a shot after the game or through Yankee fans being too drunk to turn off their TV. There’s a shot the carry-over audience could pop a huge rating for AEW.  This could have an adverse effect if the show gets delayed . Let’s say the playoff baseball game goes ext

Kevin Owens will be on WWE NXT tonight. Owens hopped on a Twitter video which you can catch here . In the video he says that Shawn Michaels called him up to be the enforcer for World Title symposium.  NXT World Champion, Bron Breakker will confront his Halloween Havoc challengers, Ilja Dragunov and JD McDonough on tonight’s NXT. In an effort to control the chaos and help beat AEW in the ratings, they’ll be calling on former NXT World Champion, Kevin Owens.  I expect to see Owens deliver a couple of stunners to the younger, main roster hopefuls. NXT goes head to with Dynamite and there will be many main roster wrestlers on the show. Owens is perhaps the biggest name to be appearing.
