The IInspiration (Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay), the former IIconics have signed on with All Elite Wrestling. They appeared at a house show for AEW in Australia on the weekend and Fightful Select is reporting that they’ve signed multi-year deals with the company. I think this is a home run signing for AEW and I’ll tell you why. This past September, AEW announced the creation of the Women’s World Tag Team Championships. At this point, most companies have women’s tag team championships but I’ve noticed one glaring problem with every division. There’s simply not enough depth for the Titles to be a focal point on the show. What usually happens is there’s a few tag teams that are solid, and then a couple thrown together with established singles stars. The problem with throwing together teams with singles wrestlers is that it takes away from your singles division.
