CM Punk Backstage at Impact Wrestling

On Saturday night, CM Punk was present backstage at the Spring Slugfest tapings of Impact in Chicago. While there, he took photos with several individuals, including Jordynne Grace and Ricky Morton. Initially, Fightful was the first to confirm Punk's presence at the television tapings on Saturday. CM Punk probably won’t be wrestling for Impact but it’s cool to see him backstage at the taping. He’s been everywhere man, from WWE to Impact. Not his home base though, All Elite Wrestling.

Thunder Rosa May Need Back Surgery

Thunder Rosa hasn't been cleared to return to the ring. According to Fightful, there's growing concern that she'll need back surgery. This would require her to be out for a further extended period of time. She's the former AEW Women's World Champion and had to vacate that Title back in August of last year due to injury. You can check my video report on Thunder Rosa's potential need for surgery.   It's possible that this surgery causes her in-ring career to be over given the severity of her injuries. It's a shame because she's one of the best wrestlers in the whole company. Despite her feud off-screen feud with Britt Baker. I hope that she's able to come back and make amends with the women's locker room in AEW. Let me know your thoughts in the comments here or on Twitter .

Tiffany Stratton Knows She Has Lots to Learn

Tiffany Stratton appeared on Busted Open to promote Spring Breakkin’ and said she would prefer to stay in NXT for now. Stratton has been catching the attention of WWE fans down in NXT since she debuted. Based off her looks alone. However, she’s been getting more attention because her in-ring skills continue to develop. Along with her personality.  When asked if she thinks she’ll be called up during the draft she said: "I definitely think for my career, I would like to stay in NXT a little longer and hone in on my wrestling skills before getting called up. But if I do get the call up, I'm ready. I will make the most of it. I will rise to the occasion, and yeah, I'll be ready." Shout out to Tiffany Stratton for showing the maturity to realize she needs more seasoning. The worst thing you can do is rush an athlete too soon. She has real potential and it would suck if she burns out because she got called up too soon.  Let me know your thoughts here or on Twitter !

Grizzled Young Vets Denied WWE Release

Zack Gibson (Rip Fowler) and James Drake (Jagger Reid) also known as the Dyad and formerly known as the Grizzled Young Veterans tweeted last night that WWE denied their requests to be released. Instead, their contracts will come up in mid-October of this year. Of course, WWE could always change their mind and grant them their releases but I don't think they'll do that. Especially with all the hype that the Grizzled Young Vets could show up at All In at Wembley Stadium for All Elite Wrestling. That takes place in August so they won't be able to wrestle there. That's disappointing because I was hoping to see them at the show. Nonetheless, I think they will both end up with All Elite Wrestling by mid-2024 at the latest. What are your thoughts about WWE not giving them their releases? You can hit me up on here or on Twitter for more thoughts.

Edge and Christian Caught Last Night's Maple Leafs/Lightning Game

Legendary WWE tag team and life-long best friends, Edge and Christian attended last night's Toronto Maple Leafs vs Tampa Bay Lightning game in Tampa Bay. The Leafs came back to beat the Lightning so the Canadian-born WWE legends must be happy. Although I'm pretty sure Christian is a Lightning fan now because he's been living there for so long.  Pretty sweet picture. There's been rumours of them reuniting for one final match or run but it's difficult because they work for different companies. Edge in WWE and Christian of course in AEW.

Bad Bunny Challenges Damian Priest To Street Fight at Backlash

On last night’s WWE Raw, Bad Bunny appeared to close the show to challenge Damian Priest for a street fight at Backlash. Bad Bunny is supposed to host the show but he’s taking that role to another level when he takes on his Priest in Puerto Rico.   The event takes place on May 6th and will be a great focus for Damian Priest. The Judgement Day has done a tremendous job of establishing themselves over the past year with Finn Balor as leader. I was hoping it would be Dominik Mysterio who gets the shine but I’m cool with Priest getting the match.  Bad Bunny, the Puerto Rican singer and rapper, is no stranger to the world of professional wrestling. He has made several appearances in the WWE, including at WrestleMania 37, where he teamed up with Damian Priest to take on The Miz and John Morrison. However, it seems that Bad Bunny is now looking to take his involvement in the WWE to the next level, as he has challenged Damian Priest to a street fight at the May 6 Backlash pay-per-view in S

You Can Already Order the New WWE World Heavyweight Championship

You can already pre-order the new WWE World Heavyweight Championship. You can pre-order it here  on WWE Shop. It's insane that you can already put an order in for the new Championship that doesn't yet have it's first Champion. You can catch my live reaction to Triple H announcing the new Championship below. Are you going to order one? Hit me up on here or Twitter for more!

Triple H Announces New World Heavyweight Championship on Raw

On tonight's WWE Raw, Triple H unveiled the new World Heavyweight Championship. A modernized version of the Title. The new Champion will be crowned at WWE Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia next month on May 27th. The winner will be determined in what will be a massive event for WWE.  Triple H, the first WWE World Heavyweight Champion introduced the new Big Gold Belt. Eric Bischoff gave Triple H the Title in 2002 in a move that the internet hated at the time. Triple H of course is most synonymous with the Championship.  Full Live Reaction: What do you think about Triple H's announcement of a new World Championship? Sounds like WWE wants a Title to be defended every week. The Championship will be defended on whichever brand Roman Reigns isn't drafted to. At Night of Champions, the winner will be decided. I think Cody Rhodes has a great chance of being the inaugural Champion. Him or Seth Rollins would be perfect. Someone like Logan Paul or Austin Theory wouldn't be. What

CM Punk Backstage at WWE Raw

CM Punk was backstage at tonight's Raw in his hometown of Chicago. PWInsider first reported and every wrestling reporter under the sun confirmed it. CM Punk currently works for All Elite Wrestling. He's rumoured to return soon. This could either put a massive monkey wrench into those plans, or could have Tony Khan seeing dollar signs. It's getting tons of publicity. Maybe ahead of a big United Center announcement. I hope Tony Khan and CM Punk are working together on this. Punk was told to leave but not before he grabbed a word with Triple H. You may famously remember CM Punk met backstage with Vince McMahon and Triple H when he walked out of WWE the first time. CM Punk told Triple H that he doesn't need to wrestle him and left the company. Since then, CM Punk was on WWE Backstage, a program that aired on FS1. Other than that and the occasional razz from Stephanie McMahon, CM Punk hasn't been mentioned at all.  Usually when wrestlers leave, they're looked back fo

Naomi Backstage at GCW Show over Weekend

Naomi was reportedly backstage at GCW’s Scene of the Crime event during the weekend. According to a report from Fightful Select, Naomi was spotted backstage at the event, leading to speculation that she may be in talks with GCW about a potential match. As a free agent wrestler, Naomi is free to work with any promotion she chooses, and a match with GCW could be an exciting opportunity for both her and the fans. Of course, it's also possible that Naomi was simply attending the event as a fan. She's known to be a big supporter of the wrestling world outside of WWE, and GCW is known for its high-energy, fan-driven atmosphere. It's possible that she was simply there to take in the show and enjoy some exciting wrestling action. Regardless of her reasons for being there, Naomi's appearance at the GCW event has certainly sparked plenty of conversation and speculation among fans. With her athleticism, charisma, and high-flying moves, she would certainly be a welcome addition

Solo Sikoa Suffers Rare Loss to Cody Rhodes at WWE Live Event

Solo Sikoa suffered a rare loss at live event over the weekend. At the live event in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Saturday, he took a loss to Cody Rhodes. WWE is doing their best to protect Solo but it’s good to see that he isn’t being booked to be completely invincible. In addition to the loss over the weekend, he previously lost to Cody on the Raw before Wrestlemania. It seems like Cody Rhodes is the only one who’s going to be beating Solo Sikoa for now. Which is how it should be.  What do you think about WWE’s infatuation with the young Samoan? They seem to be all-in on him, despite the recent losses. He’s being booked as a tough-as-nails street fighter that Roman Reigns trusts the most right now. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Solo Sikoa moving forward. Let me know your thoughts here or on Twitter .

3 Wrestlers Seth Rollins Should Feud With Instead of Omos

Seth Rollins should be used to build other wrestlers. His upcoming match with Omos won’t do anyone any favours. Omos is a special attraction. He shouldn’t be tying up with WWE’s resident workhorse. Here are three potential feuds for Seth Rollins that could be even better than the current one. Seth Rollins vs. Bronson Reed Bronson Reed is set to take on Bobby Lashley and Austin Theory at Backlash for the United States Title. However if they really want to push Reed, a feud with Seth Rollins could be just what he needs to take his career to the next level. Both wrestlers are known for their high-flying and hard-hitting styles, which would make for an exciting and unpredictable matchup. Plus, a win against Rollins would give Reed a major boost in credibility and help establish him as a top player in WWE. Seth Rollins vs. Montez Ford Montez Ford is one-half of the incredibly popular tag team The Street Profits, but he's shown that he has the skills to succeed as a singles com

Top 3 NXT Wrestlers To Be Called Up

Which NXT wrestlers will be called up during the upcoming WWE Draft. The Draft starts this week on Smackdown, 1 day after the NFL Draft. There’s going to be a ton of wrestlers changing brands between Raw and Smackdown. But there’s also going to be an allotment of wrestlers that get drafted. We didn’t see a big call up after Wrestlemania so it can be assumed WWE’s been saving it for the Draft. I talked the top 3 wrestlers not named Bron Breakker who could be called up to the main roster this Draft. You can watch the video here: What are your thoughts on who I think will get called up the main roster?

Is Cameron Grimes Being Called up to the Main Roster?

Will Cameron Grimes be called up to the main roster with the WWE draft? Grimes has been making waves in the WWE NXT brand. With the WWE draft starting this week on Smackdown, many fans are wondering whether Grimes will be called up to the main roster. Some argue that it’s long overdue for Grimes who has certainly paid his dues to get to where he is. Here’s a look at his potential journey to the big leagues. Grimes started his wrestling career in 2009, primarily working on the independent circuit as Trevor Lee. Lee famously was trained by The Hardy Boyz. He’s from the area. Following appearances in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, he joined Impact Wrestling where he enjoyed national success. He gained popularity with fans for his charismatic personality and impressive in-ring skills. In 2019, he signed with WWE and began competing in NXT. In NXT, Grimes quickly established himself as a fan favorite, with his eccentric personality and southern charm. He has also proven himself to be an excep

Tony Khan Appearing on This Week's AEW Dynamite

Tony Khan, AEW's head, will be making an appearance on the upcoming Dynamite show. The announcement was made during Saturday's AEW Rampage, and while it's not being billed as a major announcement, fans are eagerly anticipating what Khan has in store. Speculation is running rampant as to what the news could be about, with some fans predicting that it could be related to the potential return of wrestling superstar CM Punk. Rumors have been circulating for weeks now that Punk will be coming back to AEW, and with the recent rumours about a new Saturday Night Show on TNT, fans are wondering if this could be the big news that Khan is set to reveal. I think Tony Khan is going to come out to rally the troops. I'd be shocked if it's anything big. Maybe just a way to try and spike the ratings like Vince McMahon used to do. That won't stop people from speculating about CM Punk's potential return to AEW. We haven't seen Punk since the All Out press conference when

WWE Raw Preview - April 24th, 2023

Tonight’s WWE Raw is taking place from Chicago, Illinois. While only one match has been officially announced for tonight's show, there are sure to be plenty of surprises and twists in store for fans of the wrestling world. The match that has been confirmed for tonight is a clash between two high-flying superstars, as Rey Mysterio takes on Damian Priest. Mysterio and the Latino World Order are in the midst of a big feud with The Judgement Day. It’s expected that their feud will come to a head at Backlash. In addition to the Mysterio-Priest match, fans can also look forward to an appearance by none other than Bad Bunny. Tonight, he'll be appearing ahead of WWE Backlash, which he'll be hosting in his home country of Puerto Rico. It's unclear exactly what Bad Bunny has in store for fans tonight, but given his recent track record, it's sure to be something unforgettable. Whether he's performing a new song, cutting a promo, or getting involved in some in-ring act

When Will Jeff Hardy's Next AEW Match Be?

When will Jeff Hardy's next match be? According to Fightful Select, it won't be before the upcoming Hardy Compound match. No official date has been announced for the match. The Hardy Compound is a private property owned by Jeff Hardy and his brother Matt, and has been the site of many memorable matches and segments in the past. The upcoming match at the Hardy Compound is expected to be a cinematic match, which means that it will be pre-taped and heavily produced, with a focus on storytelling and spectacle rather than in-ring action. While some fans might be disappointed that they won't get to see Jeff Hardy in a traditional wrestling match in AEW, there are plenty of reasons to be excited about the upcoming Hardy Compound match. For one thing, it will give Jeff Hardy a chance to showcase his creativity and storytelling skills in a unique environment that he knows very well. For another, it will be a chance for AEW to showcase their production values and give fans a taste of

Why Isn't Naomi in NJPW?

According to a report from Dave Meltzer in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Naomi is not yet in NJPW/Stardom due to NJPW needing to keep spending down. According to Dave, the pressure is on from Bushiroad to not cool the spending on wrestling. It makes sense considering, her former tag team partner, Mercedes Monè/Sasha Banks commanded a lot of money.  The news has left fans wondering about Naomi’s future in wrestling. Will she return to WWE, or perhaps sign with another major promotion like AEW? There are many factors to consider when weighing the possibilities. Firstly, Naomi is an established name in WWE and has a strong following among fans. She has held multiple championships and has been a popular presence on WWE programming for years. A return to WWE could provide her with new opportunities, storylines, and potentially another championship reign. On the other hand, AEW has been making waves in the wrestling world since its inception. The promotion has alread

Ted Dibiase Jr Facing Serious Criminal Charges

Former WWE wrestler Ted DiBiase Jr. is facing serious prison time. On Thursday, the Department of Justice released a statement that Dibiase has been charged with several counts of fraud, conspiracy, money laundering, and theft. According to the press release from the Department of Justice, Dibiase is accused of committing wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud and theft concerning programs receiving federal funds. He has also been charged with several counts of money laundering and theft concerning programs receiving federal funds. If found guilty, Dibiase could be facing a maximum of 20 years in prison for every wire fraud charge, 10 years for the money laundering charges, and 5 years for each conspiracy charge. This is not the first time a former WWE wrestler has been involved in fraudulent activities. It is important to remember that anyone charged with a crime is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Dibiase has not yet made a public statement regarding

Mercedes Monè Loses the IWGP Women's World Championship

The wrestling world is stunned right now because Mercedes Mone lost the IWGP Women’s World Championship to Mayu Iwatani in the co-main event of the Queen of Stardom show that took place earlier today. In a match that saw Mone taunt Iwatani throughout and play the heel, Iwatani pinned Mone after hitting a devastating Dragon Suplex. But the surprises didn't end there. After the match, during the press conference, Mone announced that she would be competing at NJPW's Resurgence next month in Long Beach on May 21st, and she would challenge Iwatani for the IWGP Women's Championship in her rematch. This announcement has created a buzz in the wrestling community, as fans eagerly anticipate the rematch between the two top wrestlers. Mone's challenge shows her determination and resilience, and her willingness to compete against Iwatani once again is a testament to her competitive spirit. Iwatani, on the other hand, is a force to be reckoned with, having proved her mettle in the r

Is Gunther The Greatest WWE Intercontinental Champion of All Time?

Who is the greatest WWE Intercontinental Champion of all time? Gunther has been making his case as of late. He continued to do that when he retained over Xavier Woods on this week’s Smackdown. Professional wrestling fans often debate who should be considered the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time. The title has been held by some of the biggest names in the business, including The Miz, Chris Jericho, Randy Savage, Honky Tonk Man, and more recently, Gunther. While Gunther's reign is more recent, should not be overlooked. He’s brought a unique style and energy to the title that will always be remembered by fans. He’s had the memorable matches against Sheamus and Drew McIntyre. And he’s overall enjoyed an extremely strong reign. Being booked as the clear cut class of the upper-midcard.  I think he has a while to go to be considered the greatest. I think that belongs to Macho Man Randy Savage. He has one of the most memorable matches at Wrestlemania ever and it involved the

WWE Announces Seth Rollins vs Omos

If this were twenty days ago I would have sworn this was an April’s Fools Day joke. Omos is facing Seth Rollins at Backlash. You read that right. Neither of them should be taking a loss this quick after Wrestlemania. In the video below I’ve posed a few options for who Omos should be facing.  This match proves that WWE desperately needs the upcoming draft. Both of these wrestlers have pretty much faced who they need to on Raw as of the current roster. Why not have Seth face a mystery draft opponent?  Let me know your thoughts on the matchup!

More Details on WWE Partnering With Twitch

We’re learning more about WWE allowing wrestlers to stream on Twitch again. Fightful first had the news that WWE is letting their wrestlers stream on Twitch again. It sounds like WWE really fought hard for their wrestlers to get a fair share doe their wrestlers.  Wrestling reporter Andrew Zarian shared more about the deal on Twitter: “According to them, WWE execs negotiated for talent to get a larger cut than other creators on the platform. This was described to me as a “very talent-friendly deal.” Did you watch WWE wrestlers on Twitch when they were streaming? I’d tune into watching Zelina Vega streaming at times so I think this could he perfect for a wrestler like her. Or someone like AJ Styles.  Shout out to WWE for making sure wrestlers get a fair deal!
