Will Ospreay Announced for Bound For Glory

On last night’s Impact Wrestling Emergence, a video package revealed that the international sensation Will Ospreay is making a triumphant return to Impact Wrestling. This time, however, the stakes are higher than ever before, as Ospreay is set to dazzle fans on American soil at the highly anticipated Bound for Glory event, scheduled for October 21st in the vibrant city of Chicago. Ospreay, whose name is synonymous with high-flying acrobatics and an unparalleled wrestling finesse, previously left an indelible mark on Impact Wrestling during a tour of England back in 2016. Now, the enigmatic star is poised to bring his unique brand of intensity, innovation, and athleticism to the American stage. Fresh off his big win over Chris Jericho at AEW All In London. The timing of Ospreay's return couldn't be more perfect, as Bound for Glory is an event that resonates deeply with wrestling enthusiasts. Regarded as one of the flagship events in the Impact Wrestling calendar, Bound for G

John Cena Has His Match For Superstar Spectacle

The upcoming WWE Superstar Spectacle, scheduled to take place on September 8th in Hyderabad, India, promises to be an unforgettable night of action, camaraderie, and international flair. What makes this event truly remarkable is the revelation that none other than John Cena will be stepping into the ring on Indian soil for the very first time. The news of John Cena's participation in the WWE Superstar Spectacle has already sent shockwaves of excitement through the wrestling universe. Cena, whose name is synonymous with WWE, has captivated audiences around the world for over a decade with his charisma, athleticism, and unparalleled dedication to the sport. His presence alone is enough to electrify any arena, but the fact that he will be com

Kurt Angle Was a Fan of the Legends Title

In the world of professional wrestling, titles aren't just pieces of gold and leather; they carry with them a sense of prestige, honor, and a representation of the blood, sweat, and tears shed by the competitors who strive to hold them. One title that stands out in this regard is the TNA Legends Title. Recently, on his podcast "The Kurt Angle Show," the Olympic Gold Medalist and wrestling legend Kurt Angle shared his thoughts on this unique championship. The TNA Legends Title had been a bit controversial with fans at the time. Kurt Angle, a household name in the industry, expressed his fondness for the Legends Title during a recent episode of The Kurt Angle Show. Angle's perspective shed light on what makes this title not just another piece of wrestling hardware, but a symbol of heritage and aspiration. “I liked it because if you’re a legends champion, you’re either a legend or you’re going to be a future legend," Angle mused on his podcast. "And I think

Will Mercedes Moné Sign With AEW?

Mercedes Moné appeared as a member of the crowd during AEW All In London. The former Sasha Banks has not signed with the company but her appearance in the crowd could lead to that.  Mone’s arguably the biggest free agent in all of professional wrestling. She’s a legitimate star who had success in WWE and even in the world of acting. I think her star power would add to AEW, and she’s one of the few “needle movers” in wrestling.  I think everyone in All Elite Wrestling would love her to join. She would be a great addition to the roster as they continue to build their women’s division up.  Comment below your thoughts and let me know if you think Mercedes will sign with AEW.

Who Was Samoa Joe's Mystery Challenger, The Golden Vampire?

On this week’s AEW Collision, ROH Television Champion Samoa Joe was scheduled to take on The Golden Vampire. A mysterious competitor dressed in all-gold with some fake vampire teeth logos. He kind of looked like a more tame Goldust. It was our first time seeing this mysterious character in AEW.  Before Joe could even get to the ring, The Golden Vampire attacked. It ended with a running knee into the corner and a Go To Sleep. Sound familiar? The Golden Vampire of course was CM Punk. Punk took off the mask and accepted Joe’s challenge for All In at Wembley next Sunday.  CM Punk is putting his Real World Championship on the line against Samoa Joe. I expect Punk to win the match and retain his Title. Unless his backstage issues are too serious, and then maybe he drops it and puts over his long-time friend, Samoa Joe.  Are you looking forward to this match? What did you think of the big reveal?

Chris Jericho and Will Ospreay Will Have a GREAT Match At All In

We’re getting the match we couldn’t two years because of Covid-19 lockdowns, Chris Jericho vs Will Ospreay. At All In from Wembley Stadium . On this past week's AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho teased joining the Don Callis Family. The segment ended with  IWGP United Kingdom/United States Champion, Will Ospreay attacking the Legendary Chris Jericho. I think they’re going to have a pretty good match. If anyone’s going to get a 5-star match out of "The Ocho" at this stage in his career, it’s Will Ospreay.  Ospreay's on course for a historical in-ring career and this could go down as a match people talk about years from now.  Let's go back and recap what lead us to this. On Dynamite, Chris Jericho was ready to join the Don Callis Family until he saw the painting of Don Callis holding his severed head up. The former friends called each other out, and Callis had backup to take down Jericho. Will Ospreay in addition to Konosuke Takeshita ambushed Chris Jericho in ring.  Late

Jack Perry Retiring FTW Championship on Next Week’s AEW Dynamite

Coming off his victory against wrestling legend, Rob Van Dam, Jack Perry announced on this week’s Dynamite that he’ll be retiring the FTW Title on next week’s AEW Dynamite. Perry of course beat his former friend Hook for the Championship last month. The surprising revelation left wrestling commentator Taz, who has a special connection to the championship, utterly speechless. As anticipation builds for the forthcoming episode, let's delve into the significance of Jungle Boy's decision and the potential implications for the AEW FTW Championship. The AEW FTW Championship carries a storied history that stretches back to the days of Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) in the 1990s. Introduced by Taz, the title's acronym, which stands for "F**k the World," perfectly encapsulates the rebellious spirit of ECW. Taz's bold gesture was a statement against the establishment and a representation of his unyielding attitude. The title resurfaced in All Elite Wrestling, brid

Lacey Evans Officially Gone From WWE

In a surprising turn of events, the world of professional wrestling was hit with unexpected news as Lacey Evans, known for her impeccable blend of charisma, athleticism, and southern charm, took to Instagram to announce her departure from WWE. The news sent shockwaves through the wrestling community, leaving fans both saddened by her exit and excited to see what the future holds for the former Marine. Lacey Evans, whose real name is Macey Estrella-Kadlec, first burst onto the WWE scene in 2016 when she participated in the company's inaugural Mae Young Classic tournament. Her military background and dedication to her character allowed her to stand out from the crowd, and soon enough, she earned her spot on the main roster. With her vintage-inspired fashion, distinct southern accent, and assertive in-ring style, Evans quickly became a memorable figure in the women's division. One of Lacey Evans' most significant contributions to WWE was her ability to break down barriers an

Kenny Omega Set to Team With Kota Ibushi and Hangman Page at All In

Kenny Omega has his All In match. Much to fans chagrin, it’s a trios match instead of a singles match. Kenny’s teaming with his pals “Hangman” Adam Page and Kota Ibushi to take on Konosuke Takeshita, Jay White and Juice Robinson. At AEW All In from Wembley. I’d rather see a Takeshita and Kenny Omega singles match. I think that would be a better spotlight for both wrestlers.   The match was setup on this week’s Dynamite when Don Callis and Takeshita ambushed Kenny Omega during his sit down interview off-site with Jim Ross. Jay White and Juice Robinson of Bullet Club Gold joined in on the beatdown. Post beatdown, Adam Page appeared outside of Kenny’s hospital room and announced the match for All In at Wembley Stadium.  While I do think, a singles match for Kenny Omega would be a better option for him, I know for a fact these six will tear the house down. It could easily be match of the night from a wrestling standpoint.  It’s extremely possible and maybe even likely that we’ll see Omega

Are You On CM Punk’s Side or Jack Perry’s?

CM Punk is no stranger to speaking his mind, we’ve known that for years. According to a report from Fightful Select, CM Punk and Jack Perry were involved in a backstage exchange over the latter wanting to use real glass on the show. According to Fightful, “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry wanted to use actual glass for a segment on Collision. According to Dave Meltzer, Perry wanted to use the real glass for a car crash angle. Punk reportedly said they don’t stuff like that on Collision and to do it on Dynamite instead.  You may famously remember Goldberg cutting his forearm open after smashing through a limousine window on WCW Thunder back in the day. It sounds like CM Punk didn’t want a repeat of that, at least on his show.  I understand Jack Perry wanting to do something cool and interesting but in my opinion, glass isn’t the way to do it. Now saying that, I don’t think Punk’s reported response of just straight up shooting it down and telling him to kick rocks was the best way to handle it.  I

I Think The AEW Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match Could Be Kinda Awesome

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre game releases on August 18th, and they’re sponsoring a brand new match between two wrestling legends in AEW. On this week’s Rampage, Jeff Jarrett announced he’ll be taking on Jeff Hardy in the first ever Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match on next week’s Dynamite. Dynamite ironically is being branded as Fight For The Fallen show to help the citizens of Hawaii after their horrific fires.  I imagine this will be a cinematic style match, similar to the Hardy Compound matches. I think we’ll see some unbelievable spots and probably a lot of blood. It’s a death match and it features wrestlers who aren’t afraid to bust each other open.  Jarrett told Hardy to bring his crew because he’s going to bring his. So we’re sure to see guys like Jay Lethal and Matt Hardy. Who are wrestling legends in their own right. If it is a cinematic match, both Hardy Boyz are pioneers of the style. The Hardy’s are two of the only characters you can do stuff like this and people won

Big Update on WWE/UFC Merger

We have an update on the WWE and UFC merger. In April it was announced that Endeavor, the parent company of UFC bought WWE. On their Q2 earnings call, the Endevaor announced their acquisition of WWE is expected to be completed in September.  The two companies will be merged into one public company called TKO Group Holdings Inc.  When the acquisition is fully completed, will we see some more crossover between WWE and UFC? Endeavor has kept them separate so far outside of the occasional WWE appearance at a UFC show.  I think we’ll see some cross-promotion but it won’t be anything like Otis fighting in the UFC Heavyweight division. Or Jon Jones facing Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania. We could see some UFC and WWE personalities jump between the promotions for special occasions. Who wouldn’t love to hear Michael Cole doing some MMA analysis? Let me know your thoughts on the merger in the comments!
