Chris Jericho and Will Ospreay Will Have a GREAT Match At All In

We’re getting the match we couldn’t two years because of Covid-19 lockdowns, Chris Jericho vs Will Ospreay. At All In from Wembley Stadium. On this past week's AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho teased joining the Don Callis Family. The segment ended with  IWGP United Kingdom/United States Champion, Will Ospreay attacking the Legendary Chris Jericho. I think they’re going to have a pretty good match. If anyone’s going to get a 5-star match out of "The Ocho" at this stage in his career, it’s Will Ospreay. Ospreay's on course for a historical in-ring career and this could go down as a match people talk about years from now.

Let's go back and recap what lead us to this. On Dynamite, Chris Jericho was ready to join the Don Callis Family until he saw the painting of Don Callis holding his severed head up. The former friends called each other out, and Callis had backup to take down Jericho. Will Ospreay in addition to Konosuke Takeshita ambushed Chris Jericho in ring.

Later in the show, Chris Jericho called out Will Ospreay backstage for All In. AEW made the matchup official between Jericho and The IWGP United States/United Kingdom Champion, Will Ospreay for All In. Which takes place in Ospreay’s home country of England.

What do you think about the announced match? Should these wrestlers be doing other things? I personally feel they're going to tear down the house and do have the ability to have the best match on the show. While Chris Jericho is in the twilight of his career, he can still put on great matches. As evidenced against Roderick Strong, Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole in the past year. Ospreay on the other hand has more 5-star matches from wrestling Journalist Dave Meltzer than anyone.

Book This Episode 1: The Summer of Punk Rebooked Prelude

Let’s go back to 2011, specifically June of 2011. CM Punk’s contract is expiring soon and he’s getting ready to have the biggest run of his career. On June 27th, 2011 CM Punk would cut a promo that would have the wrestling world buzzing for years to come. In his promo, Punk said that his contract expired next month and that he, the Number One Contender, would be leaving  WWE with the WWE Championship. He’d also go onto take shots at not only his opponent the following month, John Cena but other icons in the history of WWE. Whether employed by the company or not. He’d also tease defending his WWE Championship in Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling. Essentially he’d be a travelling World Champion, ala the territory days. Well, CM Punk did win the WWE Championship the next month from John Cena at Money in the Bank. However, what would happen after would disappoint wrestling fans more than anything else that’s happened in years.       How they bungled this storyline, I’m not ent

The State of Professional Wrestling - 11-29-21

I have a lot of thoughts on the state of professional wrestling in 2021. I think it’s great that AEW is around now and that they’re presenting a great product. I think WWE has the potential not be really boring but I think the consensus is that most of the time it’s just a really boring show. I cannot tell you the last time I sat through a 3 hour Raw. Oh wait, yes I can. September, 9th, 2013 and that’s only because I was at the damn show.       WWE has a problem with stagnation. The product continually feels the same and I think there’s an obvious reason for that. WWE is too scripted. I think there’s a noticeable difference in the presentation between WWE and AEW. AEW feels like a legitimate sports show and WWE feels like broadway theatre without the music. I don’t think it’s a problem with the talent. When you go top-down, guys like Roman Reigns, Big E, Brock Lesnar, Edge, Bobby Lashley, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Finn Balor, Jeff Hardy and Kevin Owens are all main event players.

Several AEW Releases Reported

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported on Monday that announcer Dasha Kuret, Stu Grayson, Jose the Assistant, Jora Johl, Gravity, Slim J, and Parker Boudreaux have been cut from the roster. PWInsider additionally reported that The Boys (Brandon and Brent Tate) and Anthony Henry have also been released.   We have word on several All Elite Wrestling releases. On Monday, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported Dasha Kuret, Stu Grayson, Jose the Assistant, Jora Johl, Gravity, Slim J and Parker Boudreaux have been released.  In addition to Sean’s announcements, PWInsider reported the release of The Boys (Brandon and Brent Tate) and Anthony Henry. PWInsider also notes that AEW is "evaluating their talent roster and making cuts to benefit both the company and the talents."  This is the second time Stu Grayson has been released from the company. Maybe the third time in the future will be the charm.  I wonder what happens to Parker Boudreaux. He has the look of a future World Heavyweight Cha
