WWE Announces New MyGM Details

The launch of WWE 2K26 is quickly approaching and we got a ton of news on changes to MyGM. Since returning to WWE games in WWE 2K22, MyGM has had significant changes since its reintroduction to the WWE game series and these might be the biggest changes yet.

Season Set-Up

  1. The default setting for a season will now be 50 weeks.
  2. There are new increased starting budgets so you can fit more wrestlers on your roster. $3 million, $4 million, $5 million (the default), $6 million and $7 million.
  3. A new tougher mode called Immortal, for those who felt extreme was too easy of a challenge.

Draft

  1. Players will be able to sort by ring level now.

Matches

  1. There’s more support for multi-person matchups like 5-way, 6-way, 3-on-3, triple threat tag, 8-way, 4-on-4, fatal four way tag, 1-on-2, 1-on-3, 1-on-4.
  2. You’ll also be able to book the following matches on a weekly basis: Ladder match, Battle royal, Bloodline rules, I Quit, Inferno, Dumpster and 3 Stages of Hell.

Premium Live Events

  1. New PLE’s added.
  2. Larger cross branded events will feature 6-way and 8-way matches as well as a larger selection of matches.
  3. The following new PLE’s will be in MyGM: Clash at Paris, Crown Jewel, Battleground, Evolution, Great American Ash, Halloween Havoc, Night of Champions, No Mercy, Worlds Collide, Survivor Series: War Games and Elimination Chamber.
  4. In addition to Backlash, Hell in a Cell, Money in the Bank, Summer Slam and WrestleMania will be returning.

Scheduling Shows/Roster Management

  1. Intergender matches are being introduced. You were able book these during the Smackdown vs Raw GM Mode days so it’s nice that players can do this again.
  2. It’s been announced that there will be smaller additional costs to do these kind of matches.
  3. You’ll also be able to use custom championships in offline play.
  4. One of the coolest features is that you can double-book wrestlers in matches and promos. Which you were able to do in Smackdown vs Raw’s GM Mode. However, if you have your wrestler cutting a promo after their match and they get hurt during their match your promo is null/void which will cause a gap on your show.
  5. Players will also be able to trade Power Cards during trading weeks. Five slots were given previously for wrestler trades, but two of these are going to be replaced this year by two slots for Power Cards.
  6. For players like myself, who aren’t a fan of Power Cards, you can now get rid of the Power Card Store. You’ll still be able to earn the Cards but you won’t be able to purchase them from the store anymore.
  7. Changes are being made to the timer. Instead of the booking timer starting immediately, it will get paused before the week begins and you’ll have to manually start the week.
  8. You can now disable entrances, allowing you to get right into the match and avoid the pageantry.

Promos

  1. You can run interference on your opponents show through Invasion promos. You can send one of your wrestlers to muck things up for the other brands, much like the Smackdown vs Raw games of old.

Mid-Season Push

  1. After 25 weeks, every brand will get the chance to select up to 6 wrestlers to give a boost to stamina and morale. So if you want to bury somebody, do it around week 20 and then boost that morale back up.

New General Manager Options

  1. Three new General Managers have been added to the game: Bobby Heenan, Stacy Keibler and everyone’s favourite Anonymous General Manager which bumps the options to 20 total that you can select from.
  2. There’s no restrictions to how you use your General Manager anymore. If you want to have Adam Pearce be your General Manager and push him as a wrestler, you can do that now.
  3. You can also go completely random in your Brand and GM selection now.

Seasonal Challenges

  1. There will be many new seasonal challenges now.
  2. Players can now earn up to 20 seasonal challenges every season.
  3. Every five that you accomplish, you’ll earn a Hall of Fame trophy.

More New Additions

  1. Newer shake-ups
  2. New Slammy Awards
  3. Fresh commissioner goals
  4. New and different e-mails
  5. New Power Cards
  6. New social media posts
  7. New wrestler perks
  8. Updated logistic unlocks
  9. The required number of wrestlers you have to draft has been increased.
  10. The timer ticking noise that comes up doing some intervals has been shortened

WWE 2K26 launches on March 13th, which is just under a month away. Are you excited about the changes to MyGM?

Book This Episode 1: The Summer of Punk Rebooked Prelude

Let’s go back to 2011, specifically June of 2011. CM Punk’s contract is expiring soon and he’s getting ready to have the biggest run of his career. On June 27th, 2011 CM Punk would cut a promo that would have the wrestling world buzzing for years to come. In his promo, Punk said that his contract expired next month and that he, the Number One Contender, would be leaving  WWE with the WWE Championship. He’d also go onto take shots at not only his opponent the following month, John Cena but other icons in the history of WWE. Whether employed by the company or not. He’d also tease defending his WWE Championship in Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling. Essentially he’d be a travelling World Champion, ala the territory days. Well, CM Punk did win the WWE Championship the next month from John Cena at Money in the Bank. However, what would happen after would disappoint wrestling fans more than anything else that’s happened in years.       How t...

If John Cena Beats Cody Rhodes he Technically Becomes an 18-Time World Champion

John Cena won the Elimination Chamber on Saturday night and secured an Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania this April. What followed was a shocking heel turn that fans have wanted for years. That’s not what I’m talking about here. We’re talking about how John Cena will technically become an 18-time World Champion if he beats Cody Rhodes. That would put him two ahead of Ric Flair.  Ever since Roman Reigns beat Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship. From that point on, WWE recognized Roman as having two Championship reigns. With the Universal Championship and with the WWE Championship. Same with Cody Rhodes when he beat Reigns for the Undisputed Championship at last year’s WresteMania. If you look at WWE’s website it shows two concurrent reigns for Cody.  If Cena beats Cody it’s always possible that WWE in the future recognizes this as one World Title reign instead of two. There’s a few of Flair’s reign...

Bobby Lashley Issues Warning to Jon Moxley

Bobby Lashley debuted in All Elite Wrestling on October 30th last year, rejoining his former WWE stablemates MVP and Shelton Benjamin, forming The Hurt Syndicate. Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate are one of the hottest acts in AEW right now with Lashley and Benjamin winning the World Tag Team Titles last month. It’s inevitable that Bobby Lashley will get a World Championship shot at some point. He’s very over right now and a legit main event talent.  Lashley gave a warning to AEW World Champion Jon Moxley when speaking to the Sporting Tribune . Lashley said it’s only a matter of time till they face off but he’s focused on his tag team right now. Lashley said that when Jon Moxley sees him in the locker room, he stays clear of him.  Despite being cheered like a babyface, Bobby Lashley is a heel and Jon Moxley is also a heel so I don’t see them facing off soon. But I like the idea of a Moxley/Lashley match whether it’s for the Title or not. Saying that, I’d also be a fan of Bo...
