AEW Dynamite FULL Preview - February 8th - TITLE FIGHT NIGHT!!!!

Tonight's episode of AEW Dynamite is being dubbed "Championship Fight Night," and it promises to be a night filled with high-stakes matchups and title implications.

Ricky Starks will have to go through a gauntlet of wrestlers to face Chris Jericho. This doesn’t make much sense considering Starks already beat Chris Jericho in singles action. If anything, Jericho should have to go through the gauntlet to face Starks or Action Andretti for that matter. Why is Ricky Starks trying to punch up to Chris Jericho? We’ll find out tomorrow.

The Women's World Championship Eliminator Match between Jamie Hayter and The Bunny is a huge opportunity for both competitors. If the Bunny wins she’ll challenge Hayter for the Title at a future date. I’d be stunned if Bunny gets the win.

RUSH vs. Bryan Danielson is a match that has been highly anticipated by fans for weeks. RUSH is a powerful wrestler with a mean streak, while Danielson is known for his technical prowess. This match will showcase two very different styles of wrestling, and it's impossible to predict who will come out on top.

In the World Trios Championship Match, The Elite will defend their titles against Top Flight & AR Fox. The Elite are one of the most dominant trios in AEW, but Top Flight and AR Fox have been making a name for themselves in recent weeks. They're young, fast, and have a lot of heart. This match will test The Elite's dominance, and it could very well lead to new champions being crowned.

The World Tag Team Championship Match between The Acclaimed and The Gunns is sure to be a wild ride. The Acclaimed are the reigning champions, but The Gunns have been making waves in the tag team division. The big question going into this match is the allegiance of Billy Gunn. Will he stay loyal to the Acclaimed or will he turn his back on them and side with his sons?

In the World Championship Eliminator Match, MJF will face Konosuke Takeshita. If Takeshita wins, he'll earn a future shot at MJF's World Title. Takeshita is a formidable opponent, with a background in Japanese strong-style wrestling. He's known for his power and endurance, and he won't back down from MJF. This match will be a true test of MJF's abilities, and it could very well set the stage for a future World Championship match.

Tune in to AEW Dynamite tonight to see all of these matches unfold! Hit me up on Twitter for more.

Book This Episode 1: The Summer of Punk Rebooked Prelude

Let’s go back to 2011, specifically June of 2011. CM Punk’s contract is expiring soon and he’s getting ready to have the biggest run of his career. On June 27th, 2011 CM Punk would cut a promo that would have the wrestling world buzzing for years to come. In his promo, Punk said that his contract expired next month and that he, the Number One Contender, would be leaving  WWE with the WWE Championship. He’d also go onto take shots at not only his opponent the following month, John Cena but other icons in the history of WWE. Whether employed by the company or not. He’d also tease defending his WWE Championship in Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling. Essentially he’d be a travelling World Champion, ala the territory days. Well, CM Punk did win the WWE Championship the next month from John Cena at Money in the Bank. However, what would happen after would disappoint wrestling fans more than anything else that’s happened in years.       How they bungled this storyline, I’m not ent

The State of Professional Wrestling - 11-29-21

I have a lot of thoughts on the state of professional wrestling in 2021. I think it’s great that AEW is around now and that they’re presenting a great product. I think WWE has the potential not be really boring but I think the consensus is that most of the time it’s just a really boring show. I cannot tell you the last time I sat through a 3 hour Raw. Oh wait, yes I can. September, 9th, 2013 and that’s only because I was at the damn show.       WWE has a problem with stagnation. The product continually feels the same and I think there’s an obvious reason for that. WWE is too scripted. I think there’s a noticeable difference in the presentation between WWE and AEW. AEW feels like a legitimate sports show and WWE feels like broadway theatre without the music. I don’t think it’s a problem with the talent. When you go top-down, guys like Roman Reigns, Big E, Brock Lesnar, Edge, Bobby Lashley, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Finn Balor, Jeff Hardy and Kevin Owens are all main event players.

Several AEW Releases Reported

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported on Monday that announcer Dasha Kuret, Stu Grayson, Jose the Assistant, Jora Johl, Gravity, Slim J, and Parker Boudreaux have been cut from the roster. PWInsider additionally reported that The Boys (Brandon and Brent Tate) and Anthony Henry have also been released.   We have word on several All Elite Wrestling releases. On Monday, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported Dasha Kuret, Stu Grayson, Jose the Assistant, Jora Johl, Gravity, Slim J and Parker Boudreaux have been released.  In addition to Sean’s announcements, PWInsider reported the release of The Boys (Brandon and Brent Tate) and Anthony Henry. PWInsider also notes that AEW is "evaluating their talent roster and making cuts to benefit both the company and the talents."  This is the second time Stu Grayson has been released from the company. Maybe the third time in the future will be the charm.  I wonder what happens to Parker Boudreaux. He has the look of a future World Heavyweight Cha
