What's Next for Baron Corbin?

Baron Corbin, the imposing figure with a dark aura, has had a rollercoaster ride in the world of professional wrestling. From his initial rise to prominence to recent setbacks, Corbin has managed to establish a presence among fans despite being treated as a jobber in recent times. This begs the question: What's next for Baron Corbin?

Corbin burst onto the scene in NXT, where his aggressive in-ring style and commanding presence quickly caught the attention of the WWE Universe. His relentless pursuit of success led him to capture the Money in the Bank briefcase in 2017, setting the stage for a potentially promising future. However, despite glimpses of main event potential, Corbin's trajectory has taken a different turn in recent years.

In the past months, Corbin's character has been portrayed as a down-on-his-luck competitor, enduring a string of losses and a failed run with JBL. This portrayal has positioned him as a sympathetic figure, eliciting a mixed response from fans. On one hand, some appreciate the vulnerability displayed by a character typically known for his arrogance and ruthlessness. On the other hand, others argue that this shift has diminished the impact of Corbin's menacing persona, relegating him to the role of a jobber.

While it's clear that Corbin has the ability to captivate audiences, his current direction raises the question of what lies ahead for the Lone Wolf. Will he remain mired in his current role, or is there a grand plan in store for his character? The potential for a compelling redemption arc or a resurrection of his dominant persona is certainly within reach.

Wrestling history has shown that even the most formidable competitors can experience peaks and valleys throughout their careers. Superstars like Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho faced periods of uncertainty before rebounding and achieving incredible success. Similarly, Baron Corbin may be on the cusp of a resurgence that could redefine his career.

Perhaps a change in character or alignment could breathe new life into Corbin's career. A return to his menacing ways, embracing his Lone Wolf persona with renewed intensity, could reestablish him as a dominant force in the ring. Alternatively, a change in allegiances or a surprising partnership could introduce exciting storylines and fresh rivalries.

It's also important to acknowledge the creative genius of WWE's storytelling team. They have a knack for crafting unexpected narratives that reinvigorate superstars and keep fans invested. A well-executed twist or a carefully planned character arc could be the catalyst that propels Baron Corbin back into the spotlight.

In the ever-evolving landscape of professional wrestling, nothing is set in stone. The industry thrives on surprises, and Baron Corbin's future is filled with endless possibilities. It's up to the creative minds behind the scenes, as well as Corbin himself, to forge a path that captivates fans and revitalizes his career.

As fans eagerly anticipate what's next for Baron Corbin, one thing is certain: his established presence and undeniable talent demand attention. Whether it's a triumphant resurgence, a surprising character shift, or an unexpected alliance, the lone wolf has the potential to rise once again and carve out a memorable chapter in his career. Until then, the WWE Universe will be eagerly watching, ready to rally behind Corbin as he navigates the tumultuous waters

Book This Episode 1: The Summer of Punk Rebooked Prelude

Let’s go back to 2011, specifically June of 2011. CM Punk’s contract is expiring soon and he’s getting ready to have the biggest run of his career. On June 27th, 2011 CM Punk would cut a promo that would have the wrestling world buzzing for years to come. In his promo, Punk said that his contract expired next month and that he, the Number One Contender, would be leaving  WWE with the WWE Championship. He’d also go onto take shots at not only his opponent the following month, John Cena but other icons in the history of WWE. Whether employed by the company or not. He’d also tease defending his WWE Championship in Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling. Essentially he’d be a travelling World Champion, ala the territory days. Well, CM Punk did win the WWE Championship the next month from John Cena at Money in the Bank. However, what would happen after would disappoint wrestling fans more than anything else that’s happened in years.       How they bungled this storyline, I’m not ent

The State of Professional Wrestling - 11-29-21

I have a lot of thoughts on the state of professional wrestling in 2021. I think it’s great that AEW is around now and that they’re presenting a great product. I think WWE has the potential not be really boring but I think the consensus is that most of the time it’s just a really boring show. I cannot tell you the last time I sat through a 3 hour Raw. Oh wait, yes I can. September, 9th, 2013 and that’s only because I was at the damn show.       WWE has a problem with stagnation. The product continually feels the same and I think there’s an obvious reason for that. WWE is too scripted. I think there’s a noticeable difference in the presentation between WWE and AEW. AEW feels like a legitimate sports show and WWE feels like broadway theatre without the music. I don’t think it’s a problem with the talent. When you go top-down, guys like Roman Reigns, Big E, Brock Lesnar, Edge, Bobby Lashley, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Finn Balor, Jeff Hardy and Kevin Owens are all main event players.

Several AEW Releases Reported

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported on Monday that announcer Dasha Kuret, Stu Grayson, Jose the Assistant, Jora Johl, Gravity, Slim J, and Parker Boudreaux have been cut from the roster. PWInsider additionally reported that The Boys (Brandon and Brent Tate) and Anthony Henry have also been released.   We have word on several All Elite Wrestling releases. On Monday, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported Dasha Kuret, Stu Grayson, Jose the Assistant, Jora Johl, Gravity, Slim J and Parker Boudreaux have been released.  In addition to Sean’s announcements, PWInsider reported the release of The Boys (Brandon and Brent Tate) and Anthony Henry. PWInsider also notes that AEW is "evaluating their talent roster and making cuts to benefit both the company and the talents."  This is the second time Stu Grayson has been released from the company. Maybe the third time in the future will be the charm.  I wonder what happens to Parker Boudreaux. He has the look of a future World Heavyweight Cha
