Jason Kelce Appearing at Wrestlemania XL? I Hope Not

Jason Kelce could be appearing at Wrestlemania this year from Philadelphia. Kelce is a Super Bowl Champion with the Philadelphia Eagles and is a local legend. Earlier in the week, Fightful reported that WWE reached out to Jason to appear at WrestleMania. Now PWInsider says Jason Kelce has been spotted in the Philadelphia area. Kelce does live in the area so it wouldn’t be surprising if he’s just out for a morning coffee and donut.

But when there’s smoke, there’s often times fire. I think we do see Jason Kelce at Wrestlemania. A source in PWInsider’s report said he can’t say if Kelce will be appearing or not. But that if he does, you’d have to expect it to be something physical. Kelce played center at an imposing 6’3, 295 pounds. That would put him in the super heavyweight division.

Personally, would I like to see Jason Kelce at Wrestlemania? Not really. I’m a Bills fan, man! If you’re not a Bill, I don’t really mess with you. Jason is also the brother of Travis Kelce. Who along with his Kansas City Chiefs has been a massive thorn in the Bills’ Super Bowl aspirations. I don’t like the love affair for the Kelce’s. In fact, I hate whenever I hear the name Kelce. I cringe whenever I see Jason, Travis and Donna. Especially Donna, the mom.

That’s all I had to hear about last year. Them and Taylor Swift. It made my ears want to bleed when the Bills lost to Travis’ Chiefs in the Divisional round of the playoffs. All of this talk and positivity while I’m crying because the Bills can’t even make it to the Super Bowl.

So no, I do not want to see Jason Kelce at Wrestlemania. My only hope is that he takes a powebomb from the giant Omos. Then you might see a smile on my face. I doubt that will happen. I bet if Jason shows up he gets a hero’s welcome and picks on someone like Grayson Waller. I can already see it and it makes me want to regurgitate the rotisserie chicken sub I just ate.

Book This Episode 1: The Summer of Punk Rebooked Prelude

Let’s go back to 2011, specifically June of 2011. CM Punk’s contract is expiring soon and he’s getting ready to have the biggest run of his career. On June 27th, 2011 CM Punk would cut a promo that would have the wrestling world buzzing for years to come. In his promo, Punk said that his contract expired next month and that he, the Number One Contender, would be leaving  WWE with the WWE Championship. He’d also go onto take shots at not only his opponent the following month, John Cena but other icons in the history of WWE. Whether employed by the company or not. He’d also tease defending his WWE Championship in Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling. Essentially he’d be a travelling World Champion, ala the territory days. Well, CM Punk did win the WWE Championship the next month from John Cena at Money in the Bank. However, what would happen after would disappoint wrestling fans more than anything else that’s happened in years.       How they bungled this storyline, I’m not ent

The State of Professional Wrestling - 11-29-21

I have a lot of thoughts on the state of professional wrestling in 2021. I think it’s great that AEW is around now and that they’re presenting a great product. I think WWE has the potential not be really boring but I think the consensus is that most of the time it’s just a really boring show. I cannot tell you the last time I sat through a 3 hour Raw. Oh wait, yes I can. September, 9th, 2013 and that’s only because I was at the damn show.       WWE has a problem with stagnation. The product continually feels the same and I think there’s an obvious reason for that. WWE is too scripted. I think there’s a noticeable difference in the presentation between WWE and AEW. AEW feels like a legitimate sports show and WWE feels like broadway theatre without the music. I don’t think it’s a problem with the talent. When you go top-down, guys like Roman Reigns, Big E, Brock Lesnar, Edge, Bobby Lashley, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Finn Balor, Jeff Hardy and Kevin Owens are all main event players.

Several AEW Releases Reported

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported on Monday that announcer Dasha Kuret, Stu Grayson, Jose the Assistant, Jora Johl, Gravity, Slim J, and Parker Boudreaux have been cut from the roster. PWInsider additionally reported that The Boys (Brandon and Brent Tate) and Anthony Henry have also been released.   We have word on several All Elite Wrestling releases. On Monday, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported Dasha Kuret, Stu Grayson, Jose the Assistant, Jora Johl, Gravity, Slim J and Parker Boudreaux have been released.  In addition to Sean’s announcements, PWInsider reported the release of The Boys (Brandon and Brent Tate) and Anthony Henry. PWInsider also notes that AEW is "evaluating their talent roster and making cuts to benefit both the company and the talents."  This is the second time Stu Grayson has been released from the company. Maybe the third time in the future will be the charm.  I wonder what happens to Parker Boudreaux. He has the look of a future World Heavyweight Cha
