Movin’ Out (Bron’s Song) Bron Breakker Says Goodbye to NXT

Bron Breakker has enjoyed one of the best runs in WWE NXT history. He’s a two time NXT Champion, a Tag Team Champion and one of the main faces of the brand. It looks like he’s moving on though. To the main roster. Where it’ll be make or break for him. Pardon the pun.

Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin lost the NXT Tag Team Titles last night to Axiom and Nathan Frazer. The “Wolf Dogs” defeated Axiom and Frazer at Stand and Deliver but lost the rematch. After NXT went off the air, Bron and Baron Corbin addressed the fans and his tag team partner. Baron started it off by thanking the fans and Bron. Baron would thank Bron for their run in NXT and for helping him get gold for the first time in over six years.

The fans gave a thunderous ovation to Bron and he hopped on the mic to thank the fans. He thanked Shawn Michaels, his competitors that made him great and his tag team partner Baron Corbin. It was a pretty emotional moment for Bron Breakker.

The speculation is that this was the official send off for Bron before he goes to the main roster. He has future World Champion written all over him. He has the look, the intensity, the charisma and the pedigree to succeed in WWE. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s in store for Bron as he tackles the main roster. The draft is coming up in a few weeks and I expect him to be a high pick. He’s the closest WWE’s had to a “blue chip” in years.

Who are you looking forward to seeing Bron face on the main roster? He’s dominated NXT for over two and a half years. You might remember he burst onto the scene by challenging then Champion Tommaso Ciampa.  Will he do the same on the main roster? Immediately start gunning for Damian Priest and Cody Rhodes. Or do they take the slow approach with him to make sure he’s ready for that kind of pressure. As we’ve seen in the past, just because a wrestler is successful in NXT doesn’t mean they’re successful on the main roster.

I don’t think that’ll be the case for Bron. I think he’s destined for super stardom. I called it a while ago that he’d be a future Wrestlemania main eventer. We’ll see if I’m right.

Book This Episode 1: The Summer of Punk Rebooked Prelude

Let’s go back to 2011, specifically June of 2011. CM Punk’s contract is expiring soon and he’s getting ready to have the biggest run of his career. On June 27th, 2011 CM Punk would cut a promo that would have the wrestling world buzzing for years to come. In his promo, Punk said that his contract expired next month and that he, the Number One Contender, would be leaving  WWE with the WWE Championship. He’d also go onto take shots at not only his opponent the following month, John Cena but other icons in the history of WWE. Whether employed by the company or not. He’d also tease defending his WWE Championship in Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling. Essentially he’d be a travelling World Champion, ala the territory days. Well, CM Punk did win the WWE Championship the next month from John Cena at Money in the Bank. However, what would happen after would disappoint wrestling fans more than anything else that’s happened in years.       How they bungled this storyline, I’m not ent

The State of Professional Wrestling - 11-29-21

I have a lot of thoughts on the state of professional wrestling in 2021. I think it’s great that AEW is around now and that they’re presenting a great product. I think WWE has the potential not be really boring but I think the consensus is that most of the time it’s just a really boring show. I cannot tell you the last time I sat through a 3 hour Raw. Oh wait, yes I can. September, 9th, 2013 and that’s only because I was at the damn show.       WWE has a problem with stagnation. The product continually feels the same and I think there’s an obvious reason for that. WWE is too scripted. I think there’s a noticeable difference in the presentation between WWE and AEW. AEW feels like a legitimate sports show and WWE feels like broadway theatre without the music. I don’t think it’s a problem with the talent. When you go top-down, guys like Roman Reigns, Big E, Brock Lesnar, Edge, Bobby Lashley, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Finn Balor, Jeff Hardy and Kevin Owens are all main event players.

Several AEW Releases Reported

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported on Monday that announcer Dasha Kuret, Stu Grayson, Jose the Assistant, Jora Johl, Gravity, Slim J, and Parker Boudreaux have been cut from the roster. PWInsider additionally reported that The Boys (Brandon and Brent Tate) and Anthony Henry have also been released.   We have word on several All Elite Wrestling releases. On Monday, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported Dasha Kuret, Stu Grayson, Jose the Assistant, Jora Johl, Gravity, Slim J and Parker Boudreaux have been released.  In addition to Sean’s announcements, PWInsider reported the release of The Boys (Brandon and Brent Tate) and Anthony Henry. PWInsider also notes that AEW is "evaluating their talent roster and making cuts to benefit both the company and the talents."  This is the second time Stu Grayson has been released from the company. Maybe the third time in the future will be the charm.  I wonder what happens to Parker Boudreaux. He has the look of a future World Heavyweight Cha
