Fall Out from the AEW All Out Media Scrum || Ace Steel Done?! Punches thrown!

We continue to hear about the fallout from the AEW All Out media scrum from after the PPV. CM Punk went off on Colt Cabana, wrestling media, the Young Bucks and Adam Page. Telling everyone “This isn’t Reseda anymore”. Fightful reports that the Elite got into it what CM Punk and his trainer, Ace Steel in the back. Reports are that the Young Bucks are bloodied and bruised, while Kenny Omega has been bitten.

This is absolutely insane, Ace Steel is a trainer for AEW and he reportedly bit Kenny Omega. It’s a shame because Steel was respected backstage and was instrumental in the build to Punk/Jon Moxley. The rumours are that he’s done with AEW. Which would make sense given the severity and magnitude of the altercation.

If Steel is done with AEW, it means that their new World Champion, CM Punk has lost a major ally in the company. Punk, who’s been on uneasy terms with some of the company’s biggest stars including Hangman Page and MJF, has been with the promotion for just over a year. The next several weeks will be interesting and I’m sure there will be a lot of fiction mixed in with the facts. Especially with those reporting those facts.

Punk is the biggest star in the promotion, after making his return to wrestling. Punk is understandably catching a lot of shade online, especially with the wrestling journalists. It could be argued that there is a bit of leeway to act how you want to, when you’re the top draw in the company. For everyone’s sake, I hope they clean things up a bit and can act more professional moving forward. That comes from the top down, as well.

Book This Episode 1: The Summer of Punk Rebooked Prelude

Let’s go back to 2011, specifically June of 2011. CM Punk’s contract is expiring soon and he’s getting ready to have the biggest run of his career. On June 27th, 2011 CM Punk would cut a promo that would have the wrestling world buzzing for years to come. In his promo, Punk said that his contract expired next month and that he, the Number One Contender, would be leaving  WWE with the WWE Championship. He’d also go onto take shots at not only his opponent the following month, John Cena but other icons in the history of WWE. Whether employed by the company or not. He’d also tease defending his WWE Championship in Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling. Essentially he’d be a travelling World Champion, ala the territory days. Well, CM Punk did win the WWE Championship the next month from John Cena at Money in the Bank. However, what would happen after would disappoint wrestling fans more than anything else that’s happened in years.       How t...

If John Cena Beats Cody Rhodes he Technically Becomes an 18-Time World Champion

John Cena won the Elimination Chamber on Saturday night and secured an Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania this April. What followed was a shocking heel turn that fans have wanted for years. That’s not what I’m talking about here. We’re talking about how John Cena will technically become an 18-time World Champion if he beats Cody Rhodes. That would put him two ahead of Ric Flair.  Ever since Roman Reigns beat Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship. From that point on, WWE recognized Roman as having two Championship reigns. With the Universal Championship and with the WWE Championship. Same with Cody Rhodes when he beat Reigns for the Undisputed Championship at last year’s WresteMania. If you look at WWE’s website it shows two concurrent reigns for Cody.  If Cena beats Cody it’s always possible that WWE in the future recognizes this as one World Title reign instead of two. There’s a few of Flair’s reign...

Bobby Lashley Issues Warning to Jon Moxley

Bobby Lashley debuted in All Elite Wrestling on October 30th last year, rejoining his former WWE stablemates MVP and Shelton Benjamin, forming The Hurt Syndicate. Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate are one of the hottest acts in AEW right now with Lashley and Benjamin winning the World Tag Team Titles last month. It’s inevitable that Bobby Lashley will get a World Championship shot at some point. He’s very over right now and a legit main event talent.  Lashley gave a warning to AEW World Champion Jon Moxley when speaking to the Sporting Tribune . Lashley said it’s only a matter of time till they face off but he’s focused on his tag team right now. Lashley said that when Jon Moxley sees him in the locker room, he stays clear of him.  Despite being cheered like a babyface, Bobby Lashley is a heel and Jon Moxley is also a heel so I don’t see them facing off soon. But I like the idea of a Moxley/Lashley match whether it’s for the Title or not. Saying that, I’d also be a fan of Bo...
