Jon Moxley is The New AEW World Champion

Jon Moxley is the new AEW World Champion. He beat Bryan Danielson in a great match in the main event of last night’s Dynamite Grand Slam. The ending fell a bit flat as they had to get off air quick, despite Tony Khan saying the match could go past TV time. If they got the okay from the network to run past 10pm for the match, wouldn’t you think they’d let Mox have a bit of a celebration?

Of course though, they were ran off TV with little to no aftermath to Moxley winning the Title for a record third time. I would have preferred Bryan to win but I’m perfectly fine with Moxley as champion.

Jon Moxley is the ace of the company and proves in every match why he was smart to bet on himself and go to AEW. It could be argued that Moxley is the biggest star in the company with CM Punk being suspended. Moxley could have a great match with a mop handle and could talk his way out of a paperwork.

While I would have gone a different direction and I’ll have a blog talking about that later, Moxley is a premier star in the company and deserves this.

If John Cena Beats Cody Rhodes he Technically Becomes an 18-Time World Champion

John Cena won the Elimination Chamber on Saturday night and secured an Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania this April. What followed was a shocking heel turn that fans have wanted for years. That’s not what I’m talking about here. We’re talking about how John Cena will technically become an 18-time World Champion if he beats Cody Rhodes. That would put him two ahead of Ric Flair. Ever since Roman Reigns beat Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship. From that point on, WWE recognized Roman as having two Championship reigns. With the Universal Championship and with the WWE Championship. Same with Cody Rhodes when he beat Reigns for the Undisputed Championship at last year’s WresteMania. Bobby Lashley Issues Warning to Jon Moxley

Bobby Lashley debuted in All Elite Wrestling on October 30th last year, rejoining his former WWE stablemates MVP and Shelton Benjamin, forming The Hurt Syndicate. Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate are one of the hottest acts in AEW right now with Lashley and Benjamin winning the World Tag Team Titles last month. It’s inevitable that Bobby Lashley will get a World Championship shot at some point. He’s very over right now and a legit main event talent. Lashley gave a warning to AEW World Champion Jon Moxley when speaking to the Sporting Tribune . Lashley said it’s only a matter of time till they face off but he’s focused on his tag team right now. Lashley said that when Jon Moxley sees him in the locker room, he stays clear of him.
