Going Over Who The White Rabbit Will Be (4 Options)

WWE Extreme Rules takes place tonight from Philadelphia. People are assuming that the White Rabbit will be revealed tonight. We could get the conclusion to WWE’s viral multi-media marketing campaign tonight. It’s gotten the wrestling world trying to guess who the White Rabbit is.

The obvious answer is Bray Wyatt making his return to the company after being cut in July, 2021. At one time Wyatt was considered one of the top stars in the company. He main invented pay per view after pay per view. He lost a lot of steam after getting into a program with Randy Orton and Alexa Bliss. We last saw him as the Fiend/Firefly Funhouse character. All signs are pointing to Wyatt being revealed as the eponymous White Rabbit.

However, there are other options out there that we’ve been talking about. Karrion Kross went under the White Rabbit in Lucha Underground. While he made his return recently to the company, could this be a gimmick change? I’d be a bit disappointed if Kross is who it’s revealed to be as we saw him back already. I don’t think a gimmick change for a newly returned wrestler would do him a ton of good.

Another option people have been talking about is The Rock. We haven’t seen The Rock wrestle a real match since Wrestlemania 29 against John Cena. He’s been rumoured to wrestle a match at every Wrestlemania since then. Hollywood, understandably doesn’t like their most marketable star getting banged up Wrestling. So it’s been a while since we’ve seen Dwayne lace them for a match longer than 5 seconds. The Rock coming back would lead to a program with Roman Reigns that would culminate at Wrestlemania. I ultimately do think Roman Reigns will wrestle The Rock at Wrestlemania next year. I don’t think he’ll be the White Rabbit though. Roman’s got different fish to fry with Logan Paul. I think we see some more dissension between the Bloodline before Rock returns. I can’t wait till we see Bloodline Civil War and the Rock has to come in to fix things. Not happening tonight though!

The next option and arguably the worst is Baron Corbin. We saw him hop into a limo with John Bradshaw Layfield weeks ago but haven’t seen him since. I think this guy absolutely stinks. He’s boring, he’s average in the ring and his gimmicks have all been brutal. One thing, if he is the White Rabbit what a dramatic turn for him. Goofy old Happy Corbin turns into this dark Undertaker like character. It wouldn’t be expected that’s for sure. I think we see him back as a stock broker gimmick. He hits it big with JBL as his life coach.

I’ve seen people talking about this being about a group. One that includes several people I’ve mentioned above. A stable with Bray Wyatt, Karrion Kross w/ Scarlet, Braun Strowman and Baron Corbin debuting. Honestly, I love that idea. It gives something for all of them to do and they have clear, defined roles. Bray’s the leader, Kross is the enforcer that makes sure you don’t touch Bray and the team of Corbin/Strowman provide added muscle that can dominate every team there right now. I love stables in wrestling and this new one would work well with their current top stable, The Bloodline.

Let me know who you think it’ll be and if you think they’ll be revealed at Extreme Rules tonight. I’m going with Bray Wyatt. Everything’s pointing to him and it’s time for him to come back to wrestling viewers’ TVs. I’ll be live Tweeting the show tonight so please follow along there. I’ll also be live reacting on my YouTube!

Book This Episode 1: The Summer of Punk Rebooked Prelude

Let’s go back to 2011, specifically June of 2011. CM Punk’s contract is expiring soon and he’s getting ready to have the biggest run of his career. On June 27th, 2011 CM Punk would cut a promo that would have the wrestling world buzzing for years to come. In his promo, Punk said that his contract expired next month and that he, the Number One Contender, would be leaving  WWE with the WWE Championship. He’d also go onto take shots at not only his opponent the following month, John Cena but other icons in the history of WWE. Whether employed by the company or not. He’d also tease defending his WWE Championship in Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling. Essentially he’d be a travelling World Champion, ala the territory days. Well, CM Punk did win the WWE Championship the next month from John Cena at Money in the Bank. However, what would happen after would disappoint wrestling fans more than anything else that’s happened in years.       How t...

If John Cena Beats Cody Rhodes he Technically Becomes an 18-Time World Champion

John Cena won the Elimination Chamber on Saturday night and secured an Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania this April. What followed was a shocking heel turn that fans have wanted for years. That’s not what I’m talking about here. We’re talking about how John Cena will technically become an 18-time World Champion if he beats Cody Rhodes. That would put him two ahead of Ric Flair.  Ever since Roman Reigns beat Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship. From that point on, WWE recognized Roman as having two Championship reigns. With the Universal Championship and with the WWE Championship. Same with Cody Rhodes when he beat Reigns for the Undisputed Championship at last year’s WresteMania. If you look at WWE’s website it shows two concurrent reigns for Cody.  If Cena beats Cody it’s always possible that WWE in the future recognizes this as one World Title reign instead of two. There’s a few of Flair’s reign...

Bobby Lashley Issues Warning to Jon Moxley

Bobby Lashley debuted in All Elite Wrestling on October 30th last year, rejoining his former WWE stablemates MVP and Shelton Benjamin, forming The Hurt Syndicate. Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate are one of the hottest acts in AEW right now with Lashley and Benjamin winning the World Tag Team Titles last month. It’s inevitable that Bobby Lashley will get a World Championship shot at some point. He’s very over right now and a legit main event talent.  Lashley gave a warning to AEW World Champion Jon Moxley when speaking to the Sporting Tribune . Lashley said it’s only a matter of time till they face off but he’s focused on his tag team right now. Lashley said that when Jon Moxley sees him in the locker room, he stays clear of him.  Despite being cheered like a babyface, Bobby Lashley is a heel and Jon Moxley is also a heel so I don’t see them facing off soon. But I like the idea of a Moxley/Lashley match whether it’s for the Title or not. Saying that, I’d also be a fan of Bo...
