AEW World Champion, Jon Moxley signed a 5 year extension with AEW. The company announced tonight that their Ace has been locked up until 2027.
I think that is huge for them and they absolutely needed to do it. It would be a dagger if he god forbid went to WWE. This new deal allows him to continue to work outside dates. Obviously outside of WWE and I’m assuming with permission from Tony Khan.
Moxley was the first big debut for the company back at Double or Nothing 2019. He’s a veteran in the locker room and is respected by everyone. He was a top guy in both companies and can have a great match with a paper bag. With the new contract, he’ll be taking on a bigger coaching role to help the younger talent. Young rising stars like MJF, Wardlow like Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia and Ricky Starks can benefit from the tutelage of Jon Moxley.
Video version:
He’ll move forward as arguably the biggest star in the company, holding their biggest Title with a big new contract. Good for Jon Moxley. He really did a great job of proving and reinventing himself outside of WWE. The contract is much deserved for their MVP.
