LEGIT WRESTLING NEWS RUMOUR: NEW GIMMICK FOR TOP WWE STAR

The first legit wrestling rumour ever posted is one that’s been talked about for a while. It seems like WWE is finally pulling the trigger on a name and gimmick change for Dolph Ziggler. It comes after years of fans joking about how ridiculous his ring name is.

Ziggler’s currently on the Raw brand but will be moved to Smackdown on tonight’s show. He’ll be going by Dolphin Ziggler moving forward. Accompanying the name change will be a gimmick change as well. Ziggler will be donning a wet suit and a dolphin mask when he wrestles now. He’ll be fighting crime committed by WWE superstars. For example cheating in matches and throwing their plastic rings into the garbage instead of recycling.

According to sources, the idea comes directly from Paul Levesque AKA Triple H. Levesque has been keen on the gimmick change for years but Vince McMahon has been strongly against it. Now that McMahon no longer heads creative and Triple H does, his vision will be realized.

Triple H was said to be in a foul mood backstage when Nikki Cross was repackaged as Nikki A.S.H. Triple H had earmarked a superhero gimmick for Ziggler for years but Vince cucked him and did it first with Cross. It caused quite the stir with Hunter and Stephanie but cooler heads prevailed and they got over it.

It appears that Triple H hasn’t quite gotten over it though. Dolphin Ziggler will be making his debut on tonight’s Smackdown. It’s unknown if he’ll be part of the rumoured return of Legado Del Fantasma tonight.

Keep following for updates. The exciting times of the Triple H are in full force and Dolphin Ziggler is just another example.

Bound for Glory Predictions:

This is 100% satirical. Although I do hope you take this seriously.

Book This Episode 1: The Summer of Punk Rebooked Prelude

Let’s go back to 2011, specifically June of 2011. CM Punk’s contract is expiring soon and he’s getting ready to have the biggest run of his career. On June 27th, 2011 CM Punk would cut a promo that would have the wrestling world buzzing for years to come. In his promo, Punk said that his contract expired next month and that he, the Number One Contender, would be leaving  WWE with the WWE Championship. He’d also go onto take shots at not only his opponent the following month, John Cena but other icons in the history of WWE. Whether employed by the company or not. He’d also tease defending his WWE Championship in Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling. Essentially he’d be a travelling World Champion, ala the territory days. Well, CM Punk did win the WWE Championship the next month from John Cena at Money in the Bank. However, what would happen after would disappoint wrestling fans more than anything else that’s happened in years.       How t...

If John Cena Beats Cody Rhodes he Technically Becomes an 18-Time World Champion

John Cena won the Elimination Chamber on Saturday night and secured an Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania this April. What followed was a shocking heel turn that fans have wanted for years. That’s not what I’m talking about here. We’re talking about how John Cena will technically become an 18-time World Champion if he beats Cody Rhodes. That would put him two ahead of Ric Flair.  Ever since Roman Reigns beat Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship. From that point on, WWE recognized Roman as having two Championship reigns. With the Universal Championship and with the WWE Championship. Same with Cody Rhodes when he beat Reigns for the Undisputed Championship at last year’s WresteMania. If you look at WWE’s website it shows two concurrent reigns for Cody.  If Cena beats Cody it’s always possible that WWE in the future recognizes this as one World Title reign instead of two. There’s a few of Flair’s reign...

Bobby Lashley Issues Warning to Jon Moxley

Bobby Lashley debuted in All Elite Wrestling on October 30th last year, rejoining his former WWE stablemates MVP and Shelton Benjamin, forming The Hurt Syndicate. Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate are one of the hottest acts in AEW right now with Lashley and Benjamin winning the World Tag Team Titles last month. It’s inevitable that Bobby Lashley will get a World Championship shot at some point. He’s very over right now and a legit main event talent.  Lashley gave a warning to AEW World Champion Jon Moxley when speaking to the Sporting Tribune . Lashley said it’s only a matter of time till they face off but he’s focused on his tag team right now. Lashley said that when Jon Moxley sees him in the locker room, he stays clear of him.  Despite being cheered like a babyface, Bobby Lashley is a heel and Jon Moxley is also a heel so I don’t see them facing off soon. But I like the idea of a Moxley/Lashley match whether it’s for the Title or not. Saying that, I’d also be a fan of Bo...
