New WWE Announce Teams - Wade Barrett on Smackdown

Variety is reporting that WWE will have new announce teams moving forward for Raw, Smackdown and NXT.

The following commentary teams have been announced:

Raw

Kevin Patrick and Corey Graves

NXT

Vic Joseph and Booker T

Smackdown

Michael Cole and Wade Barrett

They also announced that fan favourite interviewer, Cathy Kelly is back as well.

The shakeup comes with Pat McAfee being away from Smackdown to host College Gameday Saturday. Let me know what you think of the moves and if you think the teams got better or worse. I like the pairing of Wade Barrett and Michael Cole for Smackdown. Just speculating here but could Barrett being on Smackdown lead to a feud with Pat McAfee when he comes back? Both can obviously go in the ring and it would be a good program for Wade to come back as a wrestler with.

If John Cena Beats Cody Rhodes he Technically Becomes an 18-Time World Champion

John Cena won the Elimination Chamber on Saturday night and secured an Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania this April. What followed was a shocking heel turn that fans have wanted for years. That’s not what I’m talking about here. We’re talking about how John Cena will technically become an 18-time World Champion if he beats Cody Rhodes. That would put him two ahead of Ric Flair. Ever since Roman Reigns beat Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship. From that point on, WWE recognized Roman as having two Championship reigns. With the Universal Championship and with the WWE Championship. Same with Cody Rhodes when he beat Reigns for the Undisputed Championship at last year’s WresteMania. Bobby Lashley Issues Warning to Jon Moxley

Bobby Lashley debuted in All Elite Wrestling on October 30th last year, rejoining his former WWE stablemates MVP and Shelton Benjamin, forming The Hurt Syndicate. Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate are one of the hottest acts in AEW right now with Lashley and Benjamin winning the World Tag Team Titles last month. It’s inevitable that Bobby Lashley will get a World Championship shot at some point. He’s very over right now and a legit main event talent. Lashley gave a warning to AEW World Champion Jon Moxley when speaking to the Sporting Tribune . Lashley said it’s only a matter of time till they face off but he’s focused on his tag team right now. Lashley said that when Jon Moxley sees him in the locker room, he stays clear of him. Despite being cheered like a babyface, Bobby Lashley is a heel and Jon Moxley is also a heel so I don’t see them facing off soon.
