Biggest Moment At Wrestle Kingdom 17th?

What was the biggest moment at NJPW's Wrestle Kingdom 17? It was a show that was filled with great moments and more importantly, great matches.

We saw Sasha Banks make her return to wrestling. We saw a WWE wrestler and AEW wrestler have a match on the same show. We saw Kenny Omega reclaim the IWGP United States Title from Will Ospreay in what many are describing as a hard to beat candidate for match of the year. Perhaps the biggest highlight of the show is Okada reclaiming the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship from Jay White.

I think Kenny Omega is trying to reclaim his crown as the best wrestler in the world. Last week he and the Elite beat Death Triangle in a tremendous match, at Wrestle Kingdom he had a masterful match, and next week he has a chance to win the World Trios Title in what could be the best match of the series. Kenny Omega is back to firing all cylinders again.

The biggest news perhaps is Sasha Banks making her debut with the promotion. It was heavily rumoured that her contract expired on January 1st and that's obviously looking to be true. I hope for New Japan's sake (no pun intended) that it helps attract a more global audience. I hope it leads to the now Mercedes Monè debuting in AEW.

If John Cena Beats Cody Rhodes he Technically Becomes an 18-Time World Champion

John Cena won the Elimination Chamber on Saturday night and secured an Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania this April. What followed was a shocking heel turn that fans have wanted for years. That’s not what I’m talking about here. We’re talking about how John Cena will technically become an 18-time World Champion if he beats Cody Rhodes. That would put him two ahead of Ric Flair. Ever since Roman Reigns beat Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship. From that point on, WWE recognized Roman as having two Championship reigns. With the Universal Championship and with the WWE Championship. Same with Cody Rhodes when he beat Reigns for the Undisputed Championship at last year’s WresteMania. Bobby Lashley Issues Warning to Jon Moxley

Bobby Lashley debuted in All Elite Wrestling on October 30th last year, rejoining his former WWE stablemates MVP and Shelton Benjamin, forming The Hurt Syndicate. Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate are one of the hottest acts in AEW right now with Lashley and Benjamin winning the World Tag Team Titles last month. It’s inevitable that Bobby Lashley will get a World Championship shot at some point. He’s very over right now and a legit main event talent. Lashley gave a warning to AEW World Champion Jon Moxley when speaking to the Sporting Tribune . Lashley said it’s only a matter of time till they face off but he’s focused on his tag team right now. Lashley said that when Jon Moxley sees him in the locker room, he stays clear of him. Despite being cheered like a babyface, Bobby Lashley is a heel and Jon Moxley is also a heel so I don’t see them facing off soon.
