D-Von Dudley, one half of the iconic Dudley Boyz tag team, is done with WWE. He Tweeted yesterday letting everyone know that his tenure with the company is done.
D-Von, whose real name is Devon Hughes, had been working as a producer for WWE since his retirement from in-ring competition in 2016. He had been a valuable member of the creative team, helping to shape the storylines and matches of many WWE superstars.
The news of D-Von's departure comes as a surprise to many fans, as he had been a fixture in the company for over two decades. He and his tag team partner Bubba Ray Dudley, also known as Brother Ray, formed one of the most successful and popular teams in professional wrestling history, winning multiple championships and earning a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame.
While D-Von's contributions to WWE will be greatly missed, it is not yet known what he plans to do next. I'd like to see him team up again with Bubba Ray for one last run. Maybe head over to Impact as a player-coach role with Bubba.
D-Von will be extremely valuable where he goes because of his experience in the industry as a wrestler and producer. Where do you think he shows up? Follow me on Twitter for more.
