January 2nd RAW Preview - 2 Big Title Matches

It's a big night in the world of WWE as Raw rolls into Nashville, Tennessee with a stacked lineup of matches and must-see moments to kick off the year.

One of the most highly anticipated matches of the night will see Bianca Belair defending her Raw Women's Championship against Alexa Bliss. Belair has been on a roll since winning the title at WrestleMania, defeating a who's who of top female wrestlers and establishing herself as a dominant force in the women's division. Bliss, on the other hand will be looking to add to her collection of Championship gold. It's been speculated that she'll be joining Bray Wyatt again so we could see movement towards that.

Another match to keep an eye on is the United States Championship bout between Austin Theory and Seth Rollins. Theory has held onto the title for over a month, defeating a number of top challengers along the way. However, he'll face his toughest test yet in the form of Rollins, a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion who is no stranger to championship gold. Can Theory continue to defy the odds and hold onto his title, or will Rollins add another title reign to his impressive resume?

In addition to these two big matches, tonight's Raw will feature the fallout of Bronson Reed returning to WWE to join forces with The Miz. We could also see more about Cody Rhodes as WWE continues to build towards his return.

If John Cena Beats Cody Rhodes he Technically Becomes an 18-Time World Champion

John Cena won the Elimination Chamber on Saturday night and secured an Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania this April. What followed was a shocking heel turn that fans have wanted for years. That’s not what I’m talking about here. We’re talking about how John Cena will technically become an 18-time World Champion if he beats Cody Rhodes. That would put him two ahead of Ric Flair. Ever since Roman Reigns beat Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship. From that point on, WWE recognized Roman as having two Championship reigns. With the Universal Championship and with the WWE Championship. Same with Cody Rhodes when he beat Reigns for the Undisputed Championship at last year’s WresteMania. If you look at WWE’s website it shows two concurrent reigns for Cody. If Cena beats Cody it’s always possible that WWE in the future recognizes this as one World Title reign instead of two. Bobby Lashley Issues Warning to Jon Moxley

Bobby Lashley debuted in All Elite Wrestling on October 30th last year, rejoining his former WWE stablemates MVP and Shelton Benjamin, forming The Hurt Syndicate. Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate are one of the hottest acts in AEW right now with Lashley and Benjamin winning the World Tag Team Titles last month. It’s inevitable that Bobby Lashley will get a World Championship shot at some point. He’s very over right now and a legit main event talent. Lashley gave a warning to AEW World Champion Jon Moxley when speaking to the Sporting Tribune . Lashley said it’s only a matter of time till they face off but he’s focused on his tag team right now. Lashley said that when Jon Moxley sees him in the locker room, he stays clear of him. Despite being cheered like a babyface, Bobby Lashley is a heel and Jon Moxley is also a heel so I don’t see them facing off soon.
