WWE has scrapped a big angle they were planning on Monday. The planned A’anoa'i family/Bloodline segment will not be taking place. Fans have speculated that it was because of The Rock supposedly not being ready for Wrestlemania. Dave Meltzer however is reporting that it’s because “The Wild Samoans” Afa and Sika (Roman Reigns’ father) weren’t ready to make the trip. Rikishi (Father of the Uso’s and Solo Sikoa) is also sick.
The big rumour was that A’anoai family member, The Rock will face Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 39. Now the report from Dave Meltzer is that Rock has indicated that he won’t have enough time to get into ring shape. Fans assumed the scrapped segment was because Rock won’t be ready for Wrestlemania but Meltzer says that’s incorrect.
What do you think about all the drama surrounding Roman Reigns’ Wrestlemania match? It seemed like a foregone conclusion at one point he’d face The Rock. At the end of the day, this could be all smoke and mirrors.
