Why Tay Melo & Sammy Guevara Had AAA Titles Vacated

We have some more info as to why Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo didn't wrestle at AAA's Noche De Campeones card. Konnan ran down the show on his Keepin' it 100 podcast. When it came to the situation with the Mixed Tag Team Titles being vacated over Guevara and Melo not showing up, Konnan shed some more light on what went down.

“Tony [Khan] pulled Tay [Melo] because some girl, I don’t know who had COVID. I’m not sure why Sammy was pulled because he didn’t even appear on the f*cking show [Dynamite].”

So that explains why Melo didn't show up. My argument to that if it is true, is Tony Khan couldn't have gotten anyone else to fill that roll? Instead, you pull someone from a promotion you have ties to.

I think there's more to this because Tony could have just as easily put someone else in that spot. I don't think a ton of people are tuning in just for Tay Melo or Sammy Guevara so that doesn't make a ton of sense to me.

If John Cena Beats Cody Rhodes he Technically Becomes an 18-Time World Champion

John Cena won the Elimination Chamber on Saturday night and secured an Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania this April. What followed was a shocking heel turn that fans have wanted for years. That’s not what I’m talking about here. We’re talking about how John Cena will technically become an 18-time World Champion if he beats Cody Rhodes. That would put him two ahead of Ric Flair. Ever since Roman Reigns beat Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship. From that point on, WWE recognized Roman as having two Championship reigns. With the Universal Championship and with the WWE Championship. Same with Cody Rhodes when he beat Reigns for the Undisputed Championship at last year’s WresteMania. Bobby Lashley Issues Warning to Jon Moxley

Bobby Lashley debuted in All Elite Wrestling on October 30th last year, rejoining his former WWE stablemates MVP and Shelton Benjamin, forming The Hurt Syndicate. Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate are one of the hottest acts in AEW right now with Lashley and Benjamin winning the World Tag Team Titles last month. It’s inevitable that Bobby Lashley will get a World Championship shot at some point. He’s very over right now and a legit main event talent.
