WWE Raw Preview - January 9th, 2023 - The Build to Cody's Return Continues?

Tonight's WWE Raw takes place from Birmingham, Alabama. WWE hasn't announced any matches as of 7 A.M. However, Alexa Bliss is set to address the crowd following her shocking attack on Bianca Belair last week.

Fans have been speculating about the motivations behind Bliss' actions, and tonight we'll finally get some answers. Will Bliss continue to be a heel, or will she try to justify her actions and turn face? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure: Bliss is a wild card and anything could happen when she takes the mic.

In other news, rumors have been swirling about a possible Cody Rhodes return to the Royal Rumble. Him appearing on the official Royal Rumble poster added fuel to the fire. Rhodes has been a fan favourite ever since his WWE debut, and his absence from the ring has been felt by many.

Could we see another Cody Rhodes Royal Rumble return video package tonight? It's definitely a possibility, and fans will no doubt be on the edge of their seats waiting for any updates on this front.

If John Cena Beats Cody Rhodes he Technically Becomes an 18-Time World Champion

John Cena won the Elimination Chamber on Saturday night and secured an Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania this April. What followed was a shocking heel turn that fans have wanted for years. That’s not what I’m talking about here. We’re talking about how John Cena will technically become an 18-time World Champion if he beats Cody Rhodes. That would put him two ahead of Ric Flair. Ever since Roman Reigns beat Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship. From that point on, WWE recognized Roman as having two Championship reigns. With the Universal Championship and with the WWE Championship. Same with Cody Rhodes when he beat Reigns for the Undisputed Championship at last year’s WresteMania. Bobby Lashley Issues Warning to Jon Moxley

Bobby Lashley debuted in All Elite Wrestling on October 30th last year, rejoining his former WWE stablemates MVP and Shelton Benjamin, forming The Hurt Syndicate. Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate are one of the hottest acts in AEW right now with Lashley and Benjamin winning the World Tag Team Titles last month. It’s inevitable that Bobby Lashley will get a World Championship shot at some point. He’s very over right now and a legit main event talent. Lashley gave a warning to AEW World Champion Jon Moxley when speaking to the Sporting Tribune . Lashley said it’s only a matter of time till they face off but he’s focused on his tag team right now. Lashley said that when Jon Moxley sees him in the locker room, he stays clear of him.
