WWE went XXX on Monday and the ratings reflected that. They pulled in a strong viewership, getting the most viewers in almost 3 years. WWE did 2.34 million viewers for the 30th Anniversary of Raw. Thanks to the advertised returns of many WWE legends, as well as there not being a Monday Night Football game, WWE popped their biggest rating since before the Covid lockdowns.
The first hour was touted as one of the greatest in Raw’s history. From the Trial of Sami Zayn to American Badass Undertaker returning, it was really fun. Throw in an excellent Tag Team Championship match and you had some great TV.
In addition to Undertaker’s return, the episode also featured appearances by WWE legend like D-Generation-X, Hulk Hogan and Kurt Angle, as well as some other entertaining matches and segments through the show.
WWE has to be more than thrilled with the rating. Raw ratings usually go up around Wrestlemania season, which is kind of like the playoffs for WWE. While we didn’t get The Rock, it was awesome to see American Badass Undertaker, complete with the Kid Rock theme song.
With WrestleMania just around the corner and a number of other high-profile events on the horizon, fans can expect more thrilling moments and unforgettable matches from WWE in the coming months. Including maybe Stone Cold Steve Austin returning?
