While we haven’t seen the graphic, it sounds like Billie Starkz has signed with AEW. Following the 18 year-old’s big match against Jade Cargill on Rampage last Friday, Tony Schiavone says she signed a contract with AEW. Starkz has a ton of potential and is just 18 years old so has a lot of time to grow into her roll.
On Schiavone’s What Happened When podcast with Conrad Thompson he said company had signed "another 18-year-old," being Starkz.
That’s a big decision for Starkz. I’m hoping it’s a short-term deal because she shouldn’t close the door to WWE. While AEW allows freedom, everyone grew up watching WWE not AEW. It would also expose her to a global audience.
Saying that, there’s no shot that WWE is signing an 18 year old so kudos to AEW for getting in on this if Schiavone is correct. It could be a home run signing if Starkz lives up to her massive potential.
Hopefully we see the “Billie Starkz is All Elite” post from Tony Khan soon and Tony Schiavone isn’t jumping the gun on the announcement. Tony Khan’s made some big singings the past few weeks and this could go down as one if she lives up to the hype.
