Did You Know: Kenny Omega is the Longest Reigning MEGA Champion in AAA History?

Did you know that Kenny Omega is the longest reigning AAA Mega Champion? In the Title’s 16 year history, Omega has the longest single reign at 765 days. El Texans Jr is the second longest reigning champion at 735 days. While current Champion, El Hijo del Vikingo is the 3rd longest reigning with room to work.

The first leg of AAA’s Triplemania is kicking off on Sunday and Vikingo will defend in a fatal-four way. Will he win and add to his already impressive resume? I think so. He’s the guy in AAA and one of the most talented wrestlers under 30 in the whole world.

It was speculated that we could see a rematch of El Hijo del Vikingo vs Kenny Omega. That didn’t happen and instead, the Title will be defended against Rich Swann, Swerve Strickland and Komander.

I guarantee we’ll Omega and Vikingo tie it up in the future. For now though, the young Mexican sensation can continue growing his Title reign.

If John Cena Beats Cody Rhodes he Technically Becomes an 18-Time World Champion

John Cena won the Elimination Chamber on Saturday night and secured an Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania this April. What followed was a shocking heel turn that fans have wanted for years. That’s not what I’m talking about here. We’re talking about how John Cena will technically become an 18-time World Champion if he beats Cody Rhodes. That would put him two ahead of Ric Flair. Ever since Roman Reigns beat Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship. From that point on, WWE recognized Roman as having two Championship reigns. With the Universal Championship and with the WWE Championship. Same with Cody Rhodes when he beat Reigns for the Undisputed Championship at last year’s WresteMania. Bobby Lashley Issues Warning to Jon Moxley

Bobby Lashley debuted in All Elite Wrestling on October 30th last year, rejoining his former WWE stablemates MVP and Shelton Benjamin, forming The Hurt Syndicate. Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate are one of the hottest acts in AEW right now with Lashley and Benjamin winning the World Tag Team Titles last month. It’s inevitable that Bobby Lashley will get a World Championship shot at some point. He’s very over right now and a legit main event talent.
