Husband and Wife Champions in Impact

Last night at Impact Wrestling Rebellion, Steve Maclin and Deonna Purrazzo both won World Titles in Impact Wrestling. Maclin won the Men’s World Title for the first time ever. While it’s Purrazzo’s third reign in the company. Both wrestlers ascended to the top of Impact after being released by WWE because of budgetary reasons.

An example of two wrestlers both grinding and paying their dues. Together. I am so proud of both of these wrestlers for what they’ve been able to accomplish. Maclin in particular. The former Forgotten Son had his push squashed in WWE as a tag team wrestler because of Jaxson Ryker’s social media comments. The tag act with Wesley Blake never got any steam behind them.

Maclin would get released and go to Impact and become a top heel in Impact. Along with his wife, Purrazzo they have become the top wrestlers in Impact. Maclin has been grinding since getting there and has established himself as the top heel in the company.

Purrazzo on the other hand was a coveted free agent by Impact. She immediately landed in Impact after being released and enjoyed success almost immediately. Huge congrats to the husband/wife combo on winning their Titles. They’ve easily become two of my favourite acts in Impact.

If John Cena Beats Cody Rhodes he Technically Becomes an 18-Time World Champion

John Cena won the Elimination Chamber on Saturday night and secured an Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania this April. What followed was a shocking heel turn that fans have wanted for years. That’s not what I’m talking about here. We’re talking about how John Cena will technically become an 18-time World Champion if he beats Cody Rhodes. That would put him two ahead of Ric Flair. Ever since Roman Reigns beat Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship. From that point on, WWE recognized Roman as having two Championship reigns. With the Universal Championship and with the WWE Championship. Same with Cody Rhodes when he beat Reigns for the Undisputed Championship at last year’s WresteMania. Bobby Lashley Issues Warning to Jon Moxley

Bobby Lashley debuted in All Elite Wrestling on October 30th last year, rejoining his former WWE stablemates MVP and Shelton Benjamin, forming The Hurt Syndicate. Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate are one of the hottest acts in AEW right now with Lashley and Benjamin winning the World Tag Team Titles last month. It’s inevitable that Bobby Lashley will get a World Championship shot at some point. He’s very over right now and a legit main event talent. Lashley gave a warning to AEW World Champion Jon Moxley when speaking to the Sporting Tribune . Lashley said it’s only a matter of time till they face off but he’s focused on his tag team right now. Lashley said that when Jon Moxley sees him in the locker room, he stays clear of him. Despite being cheered like a babyface, Bobby Lashley is a heel and Jon Moxley is also a heel so I don’t see them facing off soon.
