While he may have lost to Jay White on this week’s AEW Dynamite, Komander has more than enough reason to celebrate. Tony Khan announced on Twitter that Komander has officially signed with All Elite Wrestling. It’s a big signing for them because Komander’s been a standout on every show he’s been on. American wrestling companies have been looking for the next massive breakout Latino star. Could Komander be that?
Time will tell. He has a ridiculous amount of potential. If he can stay committed to his craft and take all of the advice possible he could be a big star based off his ability alone. You don’t see many wrestlers who are able to do what he does.
While he lost to Jay White on Dynamite, he looked very competitive. Going back and forth getting near falls on “Switchblade”. I’ve seen some even saying their match was too competitive. That Komander got too much offence. I agree in principle but anything can happen in this company. We’ve seen Alan Angels be competitive with Kenny Omega and Wardlow almost beat CM Punk.
AEW is clearly trying to gain a global audience and having a young wrestler with the ability to connect with fans based off skill alone will help. It’ll be interesting to see where he goes. We’ve seen the fresh new wrestler come in, get signed, only to be placed on the back-burner for whatever reason. I think Komander could be the exception to the rule based off what we’ve already seen.
Let me know your thoughts either on here on Twitter!
