Mercedes Monè Signing New Deal With NJPW?

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, Mercedes Monè could be signing an extension with NJPW.

She’s set to defend her IWGP Women’s World Title this upcoming weekend against Mayu Iwatani at the upcoming Stardom All Star Queendom show.

Would you like to see her sign a long term deal? Dave certainly thinks it could be shorter term. I personally would love if it she showed up at Forbidden Door.

It’s co-promoted by AEW and NJPW so it’s certainly possible. Britt Baker and Mercedes Monè would be legit. Or give me Toni Storm against Mercedes. There’s so many opponents out there for the former Sasha Banks.

If John Cena Beats Cody Rhodes he Technically Becomes an 18-Time World Champion

John Cena won the Elimination Chamber on Saturday night and secured an Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania this April. What followed was a shocking heel turn that fans have wanted for years. That’s not what I’m talking about here. We’re talking about how John Cena will technically become an 18-time World Champion if he beats Cody Rhodes. That would put him two ahead of Ric Flair. Ever since Roman Reigns beat Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship. From that point on, WWE recognized Roman as having two Championship reigns. With the Universal Championship and with the WWE Championship. Same with Cody Rhodes when he beat Reigns for the Undisputed Championship at last year’s WresteMania. Bobby Lashley Issues Warning to Jon Moxley

Bobby Lashley debuted in All Elite Wrestling on October 30th last year, rejoining his former WWE stablemates MVP and Shelton Benjamin, forming The Hurt Syndicate. Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate are one of the hottest acts in AEW right now with Lashley and Benjamin winning the World Tag Team Titles last month. It’s inevitable that Bobby Lashley will get a World Championship shot at some point. He’s very over right now and a legit main event talent. Lashley gave a warning to AEW World Champion Jon Moxley when speaking to the Sporting Tribune . Lashley said it’s only a matter of time till they face off but he’s focused on his tag team right now.
