Shawn Spears makes his highly anticipated return to action on Rampage. Spears, who hasn’t wrestled since October, will be taking on Jungle Boy Jack Perry in what is sure to be an exciting match.
Spears has been a fixture in the industry for over a decade and has wrestled for a number of high-profile promotions, including WWE and AEW. His most notable run in AEW was as part of MJF’s group The Pinnacle.
Spears has been out for a while spending time with his wife and newborn son. Shawn had a really emotional promo back in October when he returned. Talking about the passing of his mother and the birth of his son. I was hoping we’d be seeing him around more but that wasn’t the case. That changes Friday. Hopefully he’s back full time with the company.
Jungle Boy, Spears' opponent for the match, is a rising star in AEW in his own right. He’s looking to beat MJF for the AEW World Championship in a fatal four way that’s expected to be announced for Double Or Nothing.
The return of Shawn Spears is awesome for AEW, and it's clear that the promotion is eager to make the most of his comeback. What do you think about his return to AEW on Rampage this week? Are you looking forward to it?
