Fans of The Hurt Business faction may be disappointed to learn that it seems unlikely that the group will be making a comeback anytime soon. The faction, which was made up of MVP, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander, was a popular part of WWE programming in the Covid era but it appears that plans for a reunion have been dropped.
In recent months, WWE had teased a reunion of The Hurt Business, with MVP managing to win back the loyalty of Benjamin and Alexander, while struggling to win over Lashley after he was turned on by the group during the Raw after WrestleMania 38. The Hurt Business helped Lashley become World Champion in WWE and was a great support system for him.
However, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it seems that WWE has "totally dropped" plans for a Hurt Business reunion. "Yeah, I mean, we haven't seen MVP around. We haven't seen Cedric or Shelton around, nothing," Meltzer said.
Dave isn't batting on 1,000 on WWE rumours so I’m hoping he’s wrong here. These guys aren’t doing anything better than that. Why not put them all together again? Maybe add a member to go after the United States/Intercontinental Champion
Would you like to see them back together or are they better staying their separate ways? Hit me up here or on Twitter for more.
