Will Bron Breakker Be Drafted?

On Friday’s Smackdown, Triple H announced the WWE Draft for a few weeks from now. One of the most hotly debated topics is whether or not Bron Breakker will be called up to the main roster after a successful run in NXT that included two NXT Title reigns.

Bron lost the NXT Title to Carmelo Hayes at NXT Stand and Deliver. He then turned heel on last Tuesday’s NXT, attacking Hayes. After not being called up on the Raw or Smackdown after Wrestlemania, it would make sense he’s being saved for the draft.

Bron's success in NXT has been impressive. He won his first NXT Championship soon after his debut, and he went on to defend the title against some of the toughest competitors in the brand. He lost the title to Dolph Ziggler but won it back and had a lengthy run before losing it to Hayes.

Fans are wondering what’s next for Bron Breakker? After dominating the competition for nearly two years, there’s not much else to accomplish. Unless they’d like to give him a third run with the NXT Title which he doesn’t need. It’s Hayes’ time to shine. There's no denying that Bron has the talent and charisma to succeed on the main stage, but there are also reasons why the WWE might choose to keep him in NXT a bit longer.

While I believe he’s ready for the main roster, I see the argument that he’s too 1-dimensional. He’s going to try and change the perception of that over the next several weeks as he works heel. He attacked Chase U last night and has started to develop a mean streak like his dad and uncle were both famous for. The “Puppy-Faced Gremlin” has a lot to prove but I think he can step up to the plate.

I’ve believed in Bron Breakker since he was a practice squad member of the Ravens. I saw his look and last name and figured if football didn’t work out, wrestling would. Here we are. If I’m booking his debut, I’m having Austin Theory shockingly lose the United States Title to an underdog babyface like Johnny Gargano then have Bron debut and immediately win the Championship soon after.

What do you think about my pitch? Do you think Bron stays in NXT or will he debut on the main roster during the draft? Hit me up here or on Twitter for more.

Book This Episode 1: The Summer of Punk Rebooked Prelude

Let’s go back to 2011, specifically June of 2011. CM Punk’s contract is expiring soon and he’s getting ready to have the biggest run of his career. On June 27th, 2011 CM Punk would cut a promo that would have the wrestling world buzzing for years to come. In his promo, Punk said that his contract expired next month and that he, the Number One Contender, would be leaving  WWE with the WWE Championship. He’d also go onto take shots at not only his opponent the following month, John Cena but other icons in the history of WWE. Whether employed by the company or not. He’d also tease defending his WWE Championship in Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling. Essentially he’d be a travelling World Champion, ala the territory days. Well, CM Punk did win the WWE Championship the next month from John Cena at Money in the Bank. However, what would happen after would disappoint wrestling fans more than anything else that’s happened in years.       How t...

If John Cena Beats Cody Rhodes he Technically Becomes an 18-Time World Champion

John Cena won the Elimination Chamber on Saturday night and secured an Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania this April. What followed was a shocking heel turn that fans have wanted for years. That’s not what I’m talking about here. We’re talking about how John Cena will technically become an 18-time World Champion if he beats Cody Rhodes. That would put him two ahead of Ric Flair.  Ever since Roman Reigns beat Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship. From that point on, WWE recognized Roman as having two Championship reigns. With the Universal Championship and with the WWE Championship. Same with Cody Rhodes when he beat Reigns for the Undisputed Championship at last year’s WresteMania. If you look at WWE’s website it shows two concurrent reigns for Cody.  If Cena beats Cody it’s always possible that WWE in the future recognizes this as one World Title reign instead of two. There’s a few of Flair’s reign...

Bobby Lashley Issues Warning to Jon Moxley

Bobby Lashley debuted in All Elite Wrestling on October 30th last year, rejoining his former WWE stablemates MVP and Shelton Benjamin, forming The Hurt Syndicate. Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate are one of the hottest acts in AEW right now with Lashley and Benjamin winning the World Tag Team Titles last month. It’s inevitable that Bobby Lashley will get a World Championship shot at some point. He’s very over right now and a legit main event talent.  Lashley gave a warning to AEW World Champion Jon Moxley when speaking to the Sporting Tribune . Lashley said it’s only a matter of time till they face off but he’s focused on his tag team right now. Lashley said that when Jon Moxley sees him in the locker room, he stays clear of him.  Despite being cheered like a babyface, Bobby Lashley is a heel and Jon Moxley is also a heel so I don’t see them facing off soon. But I like the idea of a Moxley/Lashley match whether it’s for the Title or not. Saying that, I’d also be a fan of Bo...
