Cody Rhodes Appearing on Smackdown Tonight from Puerto Rico

Cody Rhodes, one of the hottest talents in the industry, is set to appear on tonight's episode of Smackdown. Smackdown is taking place live from the beautiful surroundings of Puerto Rico ahead of Backlash this weekend.

Tonight's appearance is sure to be a pivotal moment for Cody Rhodes, as he addresses the crowd and prepares for one of the biggest matches of his career this Saturday against Brock Lesnar.

The tension is palpable, with many speculating about what he may say or do, and how he will prepare for his showdown for the first time ever against Brock Lesnar. Brock attacked Cody on the night after Wrestlemania Raw and it’s all been leading to a showdown between the two this weekend.

If John Cena Beats Cody Rhodes he Technically Becomes an 18-Time World Champion

John Cena won the Elimination Chamber on Saturday night and secured an Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania this April. What followed was a shocking heel turn that fans have wanted for years. That’s not what I’m talking about here. We’re talking about how John Cena will technically become an 18-time World Champion if he beats Cody Rhodes. That would put him two ahead of Ric Flair. Ever since Roman Reigns beat Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship. From that point on, WWE recognized Roman as having two Championship reigns. With the Universal Championship and with the WWE Championship. Same with Cody Rhodes when he beat Reigns for the Undisputed Championship at last year’s WresteMania. Bobby Lashley debuted in All Elite Wrestling on October 30th last year, rejoining his former WWE stablemates MVP and Shelton Benjamin, forming The Hurt Syndicate. Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate are one of the hottest acts in AEW right now with Lashley and Benjamin winning the World Tag Team Titles last month. It’s inevitable that Bobby Lashley will get a World Championship shot at some point. He’s very over right now and a legit main event talent.
