The Miz was hanging out with Brandon Walker and Robbie Fox from Barstool Sports and Miz talked about Barstool’s Chris Klemmer’s solitary confinement live stream. Last month, Chris Klemmer set out to stream for 100 hours in solitary confinement. No chat. Just some challenges and a white room.
I’m surprised that Miz knows anything about Chris Klemmer. Klemmer is a blogger with Barstool and is often the butt of the joke. Through this though, he’s acquired a ton of fans. Myself included. I was watching the solitary confinement stream before it got pulled and I thought it was entertaining.
Miz mainly talks about the moment the stream is pulled. Dave Portnoy, the owner of Barstool pulled the plug on Klemmer’s live stream because of how “boring” it was. I didn’t think it was that bad, not bad background noise honestly. They left Klemmer in there alone, streaming to just the producers. No more live audience. What happened? When the stream came back on, tens of thousands of people showed up. It ended up becoming a pretty big success as far as content goes.
It’s just funny to see The Miz talk about Klemmer’s stream. Maybe Dave was right this whole time. He had to intervene in the stream for it to truly work.
