CM Punk's Miseria Cantare Entrance Will be Part of WWE 2K26

A new article by TechRadar has revealed that WWE 2K26 cover athlete CM Punk’s 2003 version will be coming to the ring to Miseria Cantare - The Beginning by AFI. A song synonymous with that era of CM Punk.

TechRadar Gaming interviewed WWE 2K26’s MyRise lead narrative designer, Sean Conaway who revealed a ton of exciting details about the upcoming launch. You can check out the interview here. Conaway shed details on this year’s iteration of MyRise, which will be known as “The Comeback.”

While addressing the criticism that last year’s unlock system in MyRise was repetitive, it was revealed that one of the unlocks will be CM Punk’s 2003 persona. Complete with AFI’s Miseria Cantare - The Beginning as his entrance music.

Punk used the song in the early 2000s while he was one of the top independent wrestlers touring the country. He’s never used it in WWE but did use it in AEW. If John Cena Beats Cody Rhodes he Technically Becomes an 18-Time World Champion

John Cena won the Elimination Chamber on Saturday night and secured an Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania this April. What followed was a shocking heel turn that fans have wanted for years. That’s not what I’m talking about here. We’re talking about how John Cena will technically become an 18-time World Champion if he beats Cody Rhodes. That would put him two ahead of Ric Flair. Ever since Roman Reigns beat Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship. From that point on, WWE recognized Roman as having two Championship reigns. Bobby Lashley debuted in All Elite Wrestling on October 30th last year, rejoining his former WWE stablemates MVP and Shelton Benjamin, forming The Hurt Syndicate.
