What is the ceiling for Royce Keys in WWE? The former Powerhouse Hobbs made his debut for WWE at the Royal Rumble last month. Hobbs had an over five year run in AEW and many believed he had the tools to become a World Champion there. His contract expired in January and followed what former fellow Team Tay member Ricky Starks did… jumped ship to WWE.
Keys was interviewed by Stephanie McMahon for her What’s Your Story podcast and discussed his goals for his WWE run.
“I want to become a champion. I want to become a legend. I want to be in the Hall of Fame.” He told McMahon.
Hobbs would also that he wants to be remembered as one of the most “dominant and feared” competitors of all time.
What do you think the ceiling is for Powerhouse Hobbs? Will he do what he was unable to do in AEW, and become World Champion in WWE? He certainly has the tools for it. I think his work on the mic could be developed more, but WWE is arguably the best place to do that. He has the look, intensity and perhaps most important is over with the fans.
