Will John Cena’s Announcement Truly Change WWE?

WWE Legend John Cena will be appearing at tonight’s Backlash and the future Hall of Famer is teasing a groundbreaking announcement. Cena himself says it’s going to be something that defines his career.

So what will he announce? The most boring option is that Cena will be making a Club WWE announcement. The most shocking would be Cena announcing his return to the ring. Or even worse, Vince McMahon returning. I’m an optimistic person so I’m going to guess it’s something with a bit of spice but not insane. Will it change WWE’s landscape and define Cena’s career? Probably not. I think that’s how you get people to tune in, just in case it is something truly game changing.

I think John Cena will announce something for the future of WWE. Perhaps an international expansion for NXT or investing more domestically. At John Cena’s Last Match, the focus was on the youth movement. We had several past vs present matches on the show. I’ve seen people talk about how Cena may announce a WWE Draft but I don’t think that fits being a game changing announcement. International training grounds for WWE would constitute this, in my opinion.

What do you think John Cena will announce? Will it be a huge announcement or do you think it will be something that could have been released in a press release? I could see this being a Club WWE announcement, but if that’s the case they better be advertising free tickets or something because they would be a disappointment.

If John Cena Beats Cody Rhodes he Technically Becomes an 18-Time World Champion

John Cena won the Elimination Chamber on Saturday night and secured an Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania this April. What followed was a shocking heel turn that fans have wanted for years. That’s not what I’m talking about here. We’re talking about how John Cena will technically become an 18-time World Champion if he beats Cody Rhodes. That would put him two ahead of Ric Flair. Ever since Roman Reigns beat Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship. From that point on, WWE recognized Roman as having two Championship reigns. With the Universal Championship and with the WWE Championship. Same with Cody Rhodes when he beat Reigns for the Undisputed Championship at last year’s WresteMania. Bobby Lashley Issues Warning to Jon Moxley

Bobby Lashley debuted in All Elite Wrestling on October 30th last year, rejoining his former WWE stablemates MVP and Shelton Benjamin, forming The Hurt Syndicate. Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate are one of the hottest acts in AEW right now with Lashley and Benjamin winning the World Tag Team Titles last month. It’s inevitable that Bobby Lashley will get a World Championship shot at some point. He’s very over right now and a legit main event talent. Lashley gave a warning to AEW World Champion Jon Moxley when speaking to the Sporting Tribune . Lashley said it’s only a matter of time till they face off but he’s focused on his tag team right now. Lashley said that when Jon Moxley sees him in the locker room, he stays clear of him.
